A Good Day for a Gun Battle in Illinois

I think part of the Illinois proposal was to give teeth to the regulations on straw purchases, which don;t seem to be working right now.

Is this just your opinion or fact.

In IL you have to keep record of a private transaction for ten years(both individuals) and can only sell to another IL resident with a FOID card.
That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.

You are not currently limited to one handgun per month. Know your laws. I was at a show last weekend where 1911's where selling for $300 less that value. It would really suck not to take advantage of that because I had already bought a .22 for my son within the last 30 days.

Think.

Collectors would be screwed. You would have to become an FFL

If the current law on straw purchases is effective, why is this web site necessary?

I never said the current law was effective. I said it would be with proper enforcement.

Also, the NSSF and NAFR are proud of their teamwork with BATFE.

Getting the word out about serious enforcement is a great deterent to crimes. Just look at the amazing results from Project Exile.
