Kennedy 0 #3 February 11, 2005 The only thing more powerful and more common than that is the old "let's ruin the career of a guy in a 'trust position' by crying false rape." Yes, it's complete horseshit, but good luck changing it.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Like we needed any further notice that authority in the country is in the hands of the truly idiotc. 9/11 was telegraphed for about a year beforehand, but these sock puppets wouldn't realise it if it happened again today. They're too busy shaking down nonentities to make themselves look busy.
JohnRich 4 #5 February 11, 2005 QuoteLooks like an easy way to get the federal gestapo involved in your domestic dispute. Yeah, or if you are a gun owner going through a contentious divorce, all the wife has to do is claim "domestic violence", and a horde of police will swoop down on your home to confiscate all your guns. DrewGPM 0 #6 February 11, 2005 Would you prefer the woman kept her mouth shut until AFTER this jackass takes his plane into wall street? He lied on a government application about is arrest. He may be a violent person...how do we know? What if she broke up with him because he was violent and abusive? We don't know, but I think it sucks that people assume she is just doing this get even with him. Some of the pilots who flew into the WTC were talking about at a bar the week before they did it. Bet that bartender feels like a real jerk for not taking it seriously. They busted a guy who told the airline training people that he didn't want to learn how to land the plane, just take off and fly. He turned out to be affiliated with the hijackers. If someone did this out of spite, she should be prosecuted for it. That's how you keep scorned women from making false accusations. If someone calls a teacher a child mollester, you HAVE take it seriously. If a woman says she was raped, you HAVE to take it seriously. And if a pilot says he is thinking about about flying a plane into a building, you HAVE to take that seriously. Any pilot who makes that comment, even as a joke, should be questioned anyway. QuoteThey busted a guy who told the airline training people that he didn't want to learn how to land the plane, just take off and fly. He turned out to be affiliated with the hijackers. An inept prosecution now bungled so badly, that they are either going to have to drop the charges and just release the guy, ot try to slot him into the military justice system so they can railroad him. Out of over 2000 people dragged off the streets after 9/11, there has not been one sucessful prosecution. Basically, rounding up assholes who run their mouths is not likely to make us any safer in the long run. The government is just too inept.
DrewGPM 0 #8 February 11, 2005 That says more about the court system than it does the governement as a whole. It is way to easy to get off on a technicality these days. you could start a whole thread on the was defense lawyers are ruining the court system and getting guilty people off. Being guilty means that you did it. Being found guilty in court has become a sign that you didn't pay enough for your lawyer. That's sad.

Oh please, even she says he said this in 2003, probably a private joke even assuming it's true. She's obviously bitter at him, the civil proceeding was a dispute with her, in other words it should have given it zero credence. As for lying on the form, that's some bullshit technicality he was never charged. They're throwing the book at him because they know they can't get him on anything else. How many lies/mistakes/omissions have you made on forms, what if the feds descended on you and scrutinized everything about your life because some bitch went to the feds for something you said a year ago? This sort of thing only earns the Federal Gestapo black marks with thinking people, and the only reason they get away with it are the numbskulls at companies like CNN hitching their wagon to the story. Oh and readers like you. Who do you think knocked on CNN's door and gave them the story? Those "public servants" with the government badges.

Oh and readers like you. Who do you think knocked on CNN's door and gave them the story? Those "public servants" with the government badges. I was giving your response some consideration, until you specifically call me a numbskull. After that I had a hard time taking you seriously. You made your point, you think the US government is the same as Hitler. You toss around the word gestapo to help draw a comparison between this government and what Hitler did in Germany. And you get than from this case? I don't see how. The guy was taken off flight by his Guard unit for anger issues. He said we should fly a plane into wall street. Sorry, I don't want to be on the plane when he's flying. They may find that this guy was talking crap, but they should at least look in to it. The woman said he made the comment in late 2003. If they were dating, nobody is gonna turn in a boyfriend. I hope she didn't this out of spite, but we can't know that until we hear more facts. But to blame this on the government is way off base. I expect the government to take this charge seriously.
dorbie 0 #11 February 12, 2005 Ha ha Unless you work for CNN I never called you a numbskull. Never bothered to read the rest, no point if you're revising what I've written.
DrewGPM 0 #12 February 12, 2005 "...and the only reason they get away with it are the numbskulls at companies like CNN hitching their wagon to the story. Oh and readers like you. " I guess you technically did not call me a numbskull, you just said that I do the same things that the numbskulls at CNN do. I don't see much difference. Based on your response, you did not intend that. I still stand my other assertions. I think it is worth noting that this guy is in court over prviding false information on federal document in October 2004. The document he lied on was an application for security clearance. There are no charges relating to his wall street statement...he is just being investigated.
