skydyvr 0 #26 February 10, 2005 QuoteRice has never made it clear where she stands, only clear where her boss stands (and did a bit of subterfuge at that). What's wrong with that? Shouldn't the SoS reflect her boss's views? . . =(_8^(1)

Yea, well I agree it's a little early to call that one . . . but if Rice is smart like Hillary, and gears every breath she takes towards a run, a female ticket on either side could happen. In fact, the existing threat of female candidates on both sides could make the other side more prone to launch that option than it would've been otherwise. If that's true, it'll start to spin up and become clear early. . . =(_8^(1)

only_at_120 0 #31 February 10, 2005 ( . . . but if Rice is smart like Hillary) Hillary SMART!!!!! Stupid is as stupid does....she is still with Bill, for some reason I don't consider that smart! no matter how politically motivated you are! If she can't control her man, I sure as heck don't want her in control of the country.
TheAnvil 0 #32 February 10, 2005 I beg to differ. Read her bio a bit and you'll see Provost, Director, and Senior Director as the titles of some of the positions she's held - among others. I for one do not want a foreign policy team that openly shows rifts to other nations. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! quade 4 #33 February 11, 2005 I sort of agree there, but while foreign policy must be united, it doesn't set the stage for -her- to be President. Who was the last Secretary of State to become President?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

TheAnvil 0 #36 February 11, 2005 Possibly. With the positions she's held she's shown the ability to run a staff, large organization, and large budgets. Her education and foreign policy credentials are beyond question. She would need a strong domestically inclined VP candidate and cabinet I believe, should she decide to run. Good tax guy. Budgetary issues, medicare, and SS will dominate the debate over the next ten years I believe - on the domestic front at any rate. Rice/Watts would be an incredible ticket. Rice/Gingrich - that would stir the leftist hate-pot. Or perhaps McCain/Rice. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
