That would be a great opportunity for a 3rd party to actually do well (win) in a national election. I don't think either of them are electable... The politics and the qualifications questions alone make that kind of race a long shot... then add on that, right or wrong, there are portions of the electorate that are not ready for a woman, or black woman at the head of government.

Kerry had difficulty making clear where he stood.
Rice has never made it clear where she stands, only clear where her boss stands (and did a bit of subterfuge at that).
I'll admit there were flaws to Kerry, but at least his opinions, confusing as they where, where his own and honest.

One of Kerry's problems was his opinions weren't his own. They were based on what he thought people wanted to hear. Many people saw him as a political opportunist.
