Why is it when a minority in the Democratic party makes good (first at something), it makes positive news...but when a minority in the Republican party makes good, it's only because of their blind loyalty to President Bush?

Condi Rice being the case in point. Here we have someone who has a CV that is impeccable, yet she gets very little credit for it. She only got the nod because she's a "loyal lap-dog to Bush".

Help me to understand this!?!?!?

Thats how both parties/ideologies are but, I guess it's easier to say that then look for better reasons.

I have to say that I find this post highly amusing since my family was on TV when my grandfather was sworn in as the first black county commisioner in a county with a major city. I also remember it was well noted at the time that he was the first minority to second the nomination for a president. From where I was sitting it was quite a big deal in a positive way. He's republican by the way.

Anyway you slice it both parties are full of crap and full of hypocritical self serving double standards, if you wanna believe that your party/ideology is above it theres no way for me to convince you otherwise.
