Our news last night indicated the dogs did not escape from the basement as earlier reported, they were fenced in the kitchen. There were 3 adults sleeping in the house when the 3 yr. old boy was attacked in the living room, adults continued sleeping through attack (911 wasn't called for hours) the boy's brother and sister were ones to find him in the living room mauled to death. All dogs were put down and mother apparently had drug related problems and previous charges for dealing drugs, her children have been taken now by human resources. The 2 Rottweilers that mother was babysitting had been seized previously at a drug bust (meth lab) in the city............. Also police indicated that many dogs have been abused and trained by owners to be aggressive (used to guard grow-ops and meth labs in our city)..........
