pajarito 0 #176 January 7, 2005 QuoteProof is important QuoteReligions don't seem to think so. That’s quite a broad statement lump summing all religions together. I’m assuming that you’re attacking Christianity with your statement, though. I guess it all depends on what you consider proof and how much trust you have in its authenticity. QuoteOtherwise, you're just spreading unsubstantiated accusations QuoteI don't have the time to look through three books to find a sentance. Then you shouldn’t make the claim. QuoteThat ever stops anyone? No. It doesn’t stop anyone. However, it does nothing for your credibility nor does it make it right just because others do so. QuoteNot a very good way to discredit the person you're arguing with QuoteIf you look at the start of this BS I asid that DA wrote that. He then accused me of accusing him. He could have said maybe, Im not sure but he blew it up. Seems like a silly reason to start a shouting match accomplishing nothing. QuoteLike I said I could not care what he thinks. If Ihave the time between work and school to read some I'll look for it....Till then we will have me thinking he copied it, and him saying he did not. And it will continue to mean nothing without proof. It will also continue to make you look bad. QuoteLike I said not worth my time either way. Probably not worth his or mine either. I have every right to amke any claim I wish. If I choose not to spend hours looking for a sentance in a book it is my right as well. QuoteSeems like a silly reason to start a shouting match accomplishing nothing I didn't start it, I made a statement. He turned it into a shouting match, and you continue it. QuoteAnd it will continue to mean nothing without proof I can live with that. It's you and him that got all upset about it. QuoteProbably not worth his or mine either. 3ringheathen 0 #178 January 7, 2005 Quote I frankly don't care what you think. You have to live with what you do, not me. Living with the knowledge that I'm innocent is a tough cross to bear, but I think I'll manage. -Josh If you have time to panic, you have time to do something more productive. -Me* *Ron has accused me of plagiarizing this quote. He attributes it to Douglas Adams.

FLYBERT71 0 #180 January 8, 2005 while I am not the greatest at finding quotes on the internet it seems that Douglas Adams did not write this one. So, you had to come into a thread that you obviously have no interest in, just to post an insult? Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. He attributes it to Douglas Adam hmm well i just finshed scanning the 'trilogy' and while it is possible i could have missed it, i dont really think it is there... now there is a further possibility that it is in one of the Dirk Gently books, but i cant check those atm as i've lent them out at some point... actually if it is an Adam's quote i'd expect it to be there vs the Guide as Gently is much more the type of character to DO something productive, while the majority of the Guide's characters would simply panic... was a good excuse to read DA again... have to get the Gently books back as well____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. There is also the pretty high liklihood that, if Douglas Adams had said "If . . . panic," it would come up on a google search for D.A. quotes containing the word panic. I haven't seen it yet.Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Thanks for your thanks.Speaking for myself, coming from a Christian perspective; I do see a wave of attacks on Christianity in this country. Anything from debunking what Christmas or Easter means to us to debunking the validity we believe in the Bible. I don't know why this is happening. I have many theories, but nothing I would post. The point I am making by posting Paul Harvey's essay is that no matter how many objections there are to Christianity, true Christians are not going to change their mind. I've read all the posts here with their links and not one of them have changed my mind. I also addressed this thread to all Christians out there because I am not trying to force my belief on non-Christians. Anyway, Thank God we are a free nation(s) and can express dissenting opinions.
