Former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott said in his home state of Mississippi on Wednesday: "I am not a fan of Secretary Rumsfeld. I don't think he listens to his uniformed officers."

Then a prominent moderate Republican, Sen. Susan Collins (news, bio, voting record) of Maine, was critical of the Pentagon (news - web sites) for insufficient armor protection for troops in Iraq.

Have you seen this from Kristol (Republican strategist)
www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/005/033dyhas.asp

I love this line: "Contrast the magnificent performance of our soldiers with the arrogant buck-passing of Rumsfeld. "

A bunch of retired generals including Stormin' Norman have also come out very critical of Rumsfeld.

There's Bush and .....ummm...well...errr...

I'll finish your thought since you can't remember. The answer to your question would be the 60+ million people that voted for him this past your election, sending your man home.

Uh Tuna

Negative:|

the 60+ million people didn't vote for "him" aka Rummsfeld in the past election they voted for Bush.

Did those same 60+ million vote for the almost new Head of homeland security. Don't even go there with the Nanny stuff.

I don't have any idea of how many of the 60+ million were surprised that GW "asked rummy to stay on" but some of the congree people that supported GW in the election don't seem to approve of Rummy staying in his position and aren't afraid to say it.

Buzzards circling a wounded animal?

R.I.P.
