This to me is different from the janet jackson tit because it was expectable and not out of the ordinary. You have the freedom to walk down the street with a blindfold on but that doesn't mean that I should have the right to lift up my kilt at you when you walk by. quade 4 #135 December 15, 2004 Quote But you agree that there must be standards for public broadcasting? You're not one of these for no regulation, right? What do you suggest? I think the current standards are inadequate. I think that programming designed for children should be held to standards appropriate for children, but that all other programming should be held to little, if any, standard at all. Market forces alone should prevail. I do NOT understand why any other programming or viewing should be held to the standard of what upsets a few people at the Parents Television Council. http://www.mediaweek.com/mediaweek/headlines/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000731656 I can certainly understand their concern when it comes to programming designed for children, but why the hell should they care about what is clearly NOT designed for children? Because they can't control the off switch on TVs in their own houses? That's rediculous.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
kallend 2,147 #136 December 15, 2004 QuoteQuote Most every house in the US has a TV. Very few houses are close enough to a museum that a kid could go on his/her own. Never lived in NYC or DC, I see. Or Chicago or SFO. Do they actually have museums in "red" states?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
kallend 2,147 #137 December 15, 2004 QuoteQuoteIt would be their right, but would they be right to deny kids an educational experience on account of the parents' hang ups? Thats for the parents to decide, not you or me. QuoteReally? I've been to museums and been surprised to see stuff I didn't know was there. Not my fault you didn't check. If you cared to find out I bet you could. The Field Museum in Chicago has over 20 million items in its collection. The Natural History Museum in NYC has more, as does the one in London. To be quite honest, no, I didn't go through the entire list before I took my kids to any of them. There is NOTHING in those museums that have a hang-up about my kids seeing. IMO anyone who has an issue with an anthropology or physiology display in a museum should seek professional help.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. My grandma even volunteered there for 10 years or something, and even she didn't know all of the items there, so don't feel too bad, John! I guess the museums weren't in walking distance for me when I was a kid. Luckily, public transportation got me there whenever I wanted to go.There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I stated before that with a little knowledge of both Greece and the olympics, that scene was really a given. Guess some people need warnings of the obvious, along the lines of freshly served coffee is hot and don't put your dog in the microwave. Janett was out of the expected pattern, though I still don't really have a problem with it. I have to laugh about all these people who were outraged......after they searched for the picture and the close up.....

Ask your father if it applied to him. That practice endured into the '70s. You will see nudity if you wish to take a shower after sports activities or at many DZs. Since you are apparently offended easily, what's your solution - go unwashed?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
