Admittedly, it wasn't the first thing I noticed. Or the 2nd... But I got around to it. This is part of the problem with gun safety. Kids emulate what they see in movies, and with pictures like these. So when bad safety is portrayed in popular media, it gets passed on to thousands of impressionable people who don't know any better. It's just a lousy practice.
