I fail to see why the US military should be critisised for responding correctly to this situation. I'm absolutely certain that the insurgents are not bound by the same code of conduct. I understand why they are fighting. I would also fight if some power invaded and controlled my country - whatever the reason. I understand why some individuals in the US forces are seen to over-react in some situations - because those taking the pictures simply will never have a wide angle lens wide enough to truely show those situations. tIt's the year of the Pig. I'll alway post a thanks any time someone has the courage to note that individuals are responsible and we need to deal with them on an individual basis and not just bash the general group they are in. Tonto was simply elegant in recognizing that people are people and in general mean well and that we have to deal with the bad apples one at a time. I very much appreciate it when that type of comment happens on SC - it's rather rare. ...
