To what extent was self interest involved there, do you think, given that neither country was really prepared for war?. . www.freak-brother.com

To what extent was self interest involved there, do you think, given that neither country was really prepared for war?" This came about due to mutual treaty obligations.... And it WAS in Britain & France's interests to attack a Germany which was rising in power again, before it got too powerful and turned it's attentions west again. What Europe (the world even) WASN'T ready for was Germany's grasp of combined arms and manoeuver warfare (and it took a LONG time for those lessons to sink in). Even today, looking at Operation Enduring Freedom, you can still see the ghost of Fall Weiss hanging over the battlefield. At the end of the day, nations have interests, not morals. Mike. miked10270 0 #56 November 27, 2004 Anyway, Having gone through WWII, The UN, Americans, and of course Boobies... The Ukraine I find it interesting that the border of the vote split almost exactly follows the old borders of Moldova and The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Like I said before, we have an ethnic split of the vote, and like Czechslovakia (which is now split into The Czech Republic and Slovakia), perhaps the only answer is Secession, hopefully a peaceful secession. I suspect that the alternative to a velvet secession would be civil war, followed by secession. Mike. Taking the piss out of the FrenchAmericans since before it was fashionable.
