ChasingBlueSky 0 #1 November 23, 2004 I don't think that I have ever seen anything as sad as this documentary. Family members that lost someone in the war read the last letter sent home before they died in battle. The hardest one to hear was right towards the end of the show - Jesse Givens called his wife a few days before he died to say "I sent a letter. I know you are nosey but please don't read it." He drowned when the tank he was in fell into the Euphrates River after the riverbank collapsed. The letter was a goodbye letter saying "I've been having bad feelings lately and decided to write this...if you are reading this it means I won't be coming home." http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/lastlettershome/families/givens.html This is really a must see._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
