Isn't our latest "liberation" (Afghanistan) now the leading producer of heroin in the entire world? Last I heard, they accounted for close to 80% of world production, since the warlords are finally out from under the anti-drug laws of the Taliban. If there is still a war on drugs, we're our own worst enemy.

I think defence is a good thing to keep. Well, its already been said but I'll say it again, Missile defense never stopped anyone. MAD is where its at, and we got plenty of that already.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

How about raising taxes, the $100B+ tax break that congress gave back to businesses recently in exchange for the tax subsidies the WTO ruled illegal. All we are doing at the moment is borrowing against the tax receipts of our children, we should start paying for all these programs out of our pockets rather than going to the bank for a loan.
