Edwards' wife has breast cancer

All I can think of are those tasteless comments she made about Cheney, his wife and their daughter.

Never believed in karma and irony. Maybe I should reconsider.

Tuna,

That statement was just plain cruel.>:(

I wonder why she saw a doctor in Massachusetts?

Maybe because Massachusetts has some the best medical facilities in the nation. Or maybe, that was where she was when she discovered the lump.

If I was a doctor, I wouldn't get near that woman with a 100' pole. After all the doctors her husband has sued into bankruptcy? I'd be too afraid that he'd sue me, no matter how good a job I did.

That's a good point.

It is ironic that the man who got rich by tastelessly suing decent, honest, innocent, hardworking doctors now needs their help for his wife.

You will leverage someone's misfortune? Does the pain and suffering of others mean nothing to you? This is something the Christian Right, and those of morals enjoy? Apparently "morals" is a subjective term that has nothing to do with "love your neighbor."

I guess this goes along with being pro-life and pro death sentence. Changing your religious and moral beliefs when they suit you.

Those of us on the Christian, moral left hope she fully recovers soon along with all others that suffer.

Depends on the situation.

No clue. Haven't polled all of them.

That is correct.

Never done that yet in my life.

So can we say the same thing about you if you're ever diagnosed with a terminal disease or injured/killed while jumping? Pretty fucked up thoughts if you ask me. Put you partisan politics aside for a second and realize that someone's life is at stake.

And maybe with all the tasteless comments you have been coming out with, you shouldn't. :P

Just stick to voicing hopes for Arafat dying - it seems he's the only one considered fair game around here. [:/]

It's not everyone on the Christian Right. As my posts on this thread prove, I do not in any way concur with Tuna's feelings.

One thing I try not to be (but sometimes fail) is a hypocrite. I wish Mrs. Edwards a very quick and complete recovery as I wished the same for Pres. Clinton.

You may want to re read that part about "love your neighbor" then. If you want, I have a few books on that topic I can mail to you.

Chris, I was trying to make a point. I hope you realize that. You and I don't see eye to eye on everything, but I've never doubted your moral base. At least you have never given me reason to.

Someone on this thread mentioned Yasser Arafat. I have actually been praying for Arafat even though he just may be a heinous person. I pray that he makes his peace with God before he dies as he is as much a child of God as I am.

Sorry, but that's not the way it works. You don't wake up one day and find a lump and run to the nearest doctor. There are lots of other test that need to be done to rule out cancer. Maybe the doctor was someone that a family or friend has gone to and came highly recommended.

I've pasted on my oncologist name to my friends.

Tuna: I'm not sure where you are coming from with that bad vibe/karma statement. I have cancer and will battle it the rest of my life. I guess I must have done something really bad in my past to get this. Oh, and let's not forget my loving mother, who just had her surgery last week.
