bigway 4 #6 November 3, 2004 far out Tuna, can you tell me what i am going to have for lunch next friday as well? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
AggieDave 6 #7 November 3, 2004 Grilled cheese sammich. But stand by, since it'll end up being Friday two weeks from this Friday due to all the politics and lawsuits of the choice of a grilled cheese over a PB&J. Although in the end the supreme chefs will vote that infact the grilled cheese was infact the winner, so you'll be able to enjoy your sammich then, after leaving it sit on the kitchen counter for 2 weeks.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Kennedy 0 #10 November 3, 2004 There are only three states in question. Just about every state is still counting, but they are decided. It's over. Bush has got 274. He will get 5, 7, or 12 more E votes. More from Oh that will be counted.. That fat lady isn't singing yet... His lead in Florida is over 350k. Not a chance. It's 147k in Ohio. Pretty damn unlikely, but I wouldn't call it for Bush until there is a handle on how many of these provisional votes are outstanding. I'm not clever enough to see the name calling here. I think he's just being hopelessly optimistic for Kerry's chances. (hint: slim and/or none)
bigway 4 #16 November 3, 2004 i have been watching this thread and really am stuck. i have searched every channel on my tv and there is not one channel saying that bush has won. Maybe over here in the uk we get a delayed broadcast or something. Can someone show me anywhere that it is reported that GWB has won the election? Over here they are saying that there is still hundreds of thousands of votes to count. Are we behind in the broadcast or are you guys just more superior and know something that the rest of the world does not? .Karnage Krew Gear Store . Foxnews has called Ohio for Bush, which puts at 269, a tie. In reality that would mean a win for Bush in the House. CNN has declared Nevada for Bush, which would push him to 274. But the reality is that until the unknown quantity of votes remaining in Ohio is determined and probably counted (which won't start for 11 days, apparently), Bush will be the President Reelect in Waiting. Kerry would need an ungodly percentage of these provisional votes to go his way and the odds of such a distribution are so low that it would strongly imply fraud. If there are substantially more than 200k, then it becomes a possibility.
juanesky 0 #19 November 3, 2004 It is not superiority, it's knowing about what goes on in one's home, just as we expect you to know more about Kiwis than any regular american. Here is a good source. Other places are the websites on the major news networks. QuoteAre we behind in the broadcast or are you guys just more superior and know something that the rest of the world does not? Is it possible for you to ever post something without any hatred or despise against US? bigway 4 #20 November 3, 2004 I am not posting hatred for the United States at all!! I dont agree with some things but this has nothing to do with the elections at the moment. I am serious, every station i have seen will not say who has won the elections yet the people in this forums are saying it is over and the election has been won. This confuses me and i do not understand how you can say this. As far as i am aware Ohio has not come in yet. Fox say it has not come in and neither do cnn. On my screen i have 254 for Bush and 242 for Kerry. I do not understand how you can say bush has won. This has nothing to do with my views on america and i know this election is for your citizens....does this mean the rest of the world can not ask what is going on? If you want to read abuse in everything i post, fine. Just get off your high horse. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
kelpdiver 2 #21 November 3, 2004 I explained it to you. If you don't want to accept it, sorry. You might look at foxnews.com. They certainly did call Ohio for Bush. And a good while ago. In general this evening they seemed quicker to call a state for Bush than the others. It is probably the wrong thing to do, just like the early call of Florida in 2000. But it's also pretty likely to hold up.

juanesky 0 #23 November 3, 2004 More simply put, they are talking about 175K votes still unaccounted for in Ohio, Bush has a lead of 140K+. For Kerry to win, he will need at least 92% of those 175K votes, which is not likely. he should get about the same rate or proportion of 50-50."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

In years past, the absentee ballot was pretty right leaning. These days, probably not. But provisional voting is most likely to involve people who have recently moved and is probably at least slightly slanted towards Democrats and younger voters. 60-40 is within the realm of possibility. 92-8, no.
