rhino 0 #52 November 3, 2004 QuoteI'm confused. You started another "2004 Presidential Election Thread" to consolidate posts concerning the election. You then started this new thread concerning the same thing. What up? He is flip flopping... lol So Another 4 years of Bush... At least he has a cool name.. Bush... I just want to say that again.. Bush... lol I am not ENTIRELY upset that Bush won. If he leads us where I think he is leading us at least I can say I voted for Kerry. I hope I am wrong about Bush.. He is now Pres and I'll back his Texan ass as best I can, but won't be a blind sheep being led to the slaughter like many of his supporters.... Nothing like ripping on lawyers to make one feel better. I got a good joke for you. What's the difference between a lawyer and a hooker. A hooker stops screwing you when you're dead. windcatcher 0 #57 November 3, 2004 Yeeeeeeeeeehaw! Now I can rest at night knowing my Bush is still President, instead of Mr. Wish-Washy Kerry. I knew he was gonna win...it's not my time to go just yet Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...
SkydiveNFlorida 0 #58 November 3, 2004 QuoteI knew he was gonna win...it's not my time to go just yet Yes, because i'm certain you would have died a horrific death had Kerry taken office rather than Bush. You people need to get over it. Neither will make any signifigant difference, one asshole over another. Nobody worth a damn can be elected because you have to be white, male, and be a Dem or Rep in order to be elected. I think Sharpton said it best last night, though, when he said that this would be the first time Bush actually won, lol! -A

So according to you, nobody who is white male and either a Rep or Dem is worth a damn. jumperconway 0 #60 November 3, 2004 I think Sharpton said it best last night, though, when he said that this would be the first time Bush actually won, lol! Funny how well Bush did in Florida AND won the popular vote. Did you hear the repubs screaming about winning the popular vote against Idiot Clinton yet losing the elections? Twice? Gee, I'm sorry you feel that way about me and most other American males. Well, I certainly wouldn't want you to win, but maybe I should have phrased that differently. Problem is that Rep & Dem are tainted, they represent someone's $$ somewhere (big business, oil co, etc). No other party even has a chance because the elections are so bought. Most american's don't hear anything about the other candidates whatsoever. And, additionally, it is ridiculous that a woman or a person of non-anglo background wouldn't have a chance, EVEN IF they were a Dem or Rep. In my eyes, there is just no point. One bought asshole or another, the difference isn't signifigant. -A
Kennedy 0 #62 November 3, 2004 Oh, don't worry, I'm a big fan of the Republicrat idea. One coin. Two sides. No Cash value. I prefer libertarians and other strict constitutional constructionists. kelpdiver 2 #63 November 4, 2004 Quote President Bush won the majority of the popular vote. (no, Clinton did not do that- no democrat has for a number of decades) Carter, the last Democrat before Clinton, did in fact get a majority.

Kennedy 0 #66 November 4, 2004 Are you sure about that? I remember hearing something on CNN or MSNBC about how Democrats haven't carried a majority of the popular vote in something like sixty years. Of course it was about 5am and I was still smiling from calling it myself (even though no one else had given Bush 270), so I could be mistaken.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
kelpdiver 2 #67 November 4, 2004 QuoteAre you sure about that? I remember hearing something on CNN or MSNBC about how Democrats haven't carried a majority of the popular vote in something like sixty years. Carter took 50.1%. 4 years later, with Anderson mucking things up, Reagan barely made it with 50.8%. Easily beating Carter, of course. LBJ easily won in '64, with 60.6% over Goldwater. Kennedy didn't make it in that tight election - 49.7%. Truman was just short as well at 49.8, thanks to the third party candidates Wallace and a much younger Strom Thurmond. From 48 to now, there just haven't been as many Democratic winners, accounting for much of that not quite true streak. Without the meaningless distraction of Perot, Clinton would have cleared 50% each time. Anyone have any idea what Quade's 1 is a number remark means? Kennedy 0 #68 November 4, 2004 He's refering to my mistake. He means one decade. I said a number of decades because I wasn't sure. Must've been some other statistic that I confused with the popular vote thing. One is a number. Just not what I intended. witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
