Jib 0 #1 November 3, 2004 A state congressman in Florida just ran an ad... Polls only closed over three hours ago. Any dumb candidates elsewhere? -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. quade 4 #2 November 3, 2004 Ah . . . the often misunderstood advertising phenomenon known as "The Make Good". What happens is a client buys ad space on TV and due to technical difficulties that sometimes happen . . . the ad doesn't air as intended. Maybe a machine breaks down in the middle of it or somebody's finger slips on the Master Control panel. Well, the TV station does NOT give back the money -- no freeking way -- what they do is called a "Make Good". They re-run the spot again at "no additional charge", which is usually fine for non-time-critical products, but it's pretty funny when you see political ads after the polls close or sopts for Holiday sales two days later. This is undoubtedly what happened in this case.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
