CanuckInUSA 0 #2 November 1, 2004 Who knows I could be wrong. But I don't believe stories such as this. Bin Laden would likely attack any state regardless of who they voted for if their security was lapse and he could inflict some serious damage. I don't like Kerry, but I dislike GWB even more. tunaplanet 0 #5 November 1, 2004 Well at least the much debated question of, "Who does Bin Laden want to win the elction" has finally been answered. Not that we didn't already know that. The liberals didn't want to admit it because it showed their man as weak and a pushover (which he is). Forty-two
dtpilot 0 #6 November 1, 2004 I think this statement to be very unsupported. Bin Laden if he is still around wouold do what he could to attack any western culture. Bush is the man... "Believe me! likearock 2 #7 November 1, 2004 Really stretching to get to that conclusion. Here's the full quote in context: Quote In conclusion, I tell you in truth, that your security is not in the hands of Kerry, nor Bush, nor al-Qaida. No. Your security is in your own hands. And every state that doesn't play with our security has automatically guaranteed its own security. Only the Bush supporters would try to spin this as some sort of support for Kerry. billvon 3,120 #11 November 2, 2004 > Well at least the much debated question of, "Who does Bin Laden want >to win the elction" has finally been answered. Once upon a time, Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Fox lived together in a forest. Now, Br'er Fox being, well, a fox, spent much of his time devising clever traps to capture Br'er Rabbit so he could have himself a rabbit dinner. One day he was especially clever, and managed to capture Br'er Rabbit. But now that he had him, what should he do with him? Should he just eat him right there, or should he cook him first? Maybe torment him a little first? Decisions, decisions . . . Br'er Rabbit sensed his indecision. "I don't care what you do - eat me alive, boil me in oil - but whatever you do, don't throw me in the briar patch!" Br'er Fox considered that. Sure, it would be convenient to just eat him right then and there, but it would be so nice to see Br'er Rabbit impaled on those nasty thorns, stuck there to struggle while Br'er Fox watched. Br'er Rabbit saw him considering this. "Nooo!" he said. "Don't you do it! Don't you throw me in that briar patch! Anything but that!" With that Br'er Fox threw that rabbit right into the thickest part of the briar patch. For a minute there was no sound. Where did he go? Where was the struggling and the blood? Then Br'er Fox heard, from far away, the call of Br'er Rabbit as he ran away - "Born and bred in a briar patch, Br'er Fox! Born and bred in a briar patch!" So yes, in a very real way, the question of who Bin Laden wants elected has been answered. (Of course, those who have never heard of psychology, or the Uncle Remus reader's digest version, may be at somewhat of a disadvantage answering it.)
