Gravitymaster 0 #26 November 1, 2004 You still haven't explained to me what should have been done. An unsanctioned Iraq, no more weapons Inspectors, getting support for it's Nuclear, chemical and biological programs from France, Russia, China etc. What should Bush have done? What are you talking about? Iraq was sanctioned and there were inspectors. They left when we said we're about to start bombing the place. What should Bush have done? Recognized that he is completely incompetent to lead this country when he can only come up with one solution to a situation and that involves total war. And then resigned. ChasingBlueSky 0 #30 November 1, 2004 You asked why I thought we were unsafe because of GW and I did explain that. What should we have done? Well, as it turns out, the current action seems to have not been the path to take. We seem to have no problem with N Korea putting together a Nuclear Program - should we invade them as well? What about Iran? Maybe next you will bring up how SH was an asshole that needed to go because of his crimes against humanity and then I will bring up the fact that we should be in the Sudan. You want to have a problem with a country doing bad things behind the eyes of the public? Oil for Food? Is that any worse than Iran Contra? Why do you care if France, Russia, Germany and China wanted to start doing biz with SH again? He had the oil and he could make demands. We didn't want to play with him anymore so we kicked him out so we could have control of the oil In fact, securing the oil was a higher priority than securing a weapons dump. You can lift sanctions if the country obeys. Trading can continue and you can still continue to send people in to check on the weapons. There were plenty of other options to pursue. Yes, he was a stubborn dick head that could have made things easier, but that apparently wasn't his style. And, as we all saw during the debates, GW hates being challenged. The world is worse off because of Bush and his decisions. We are unsafe because of him. Did OBL ever make a threat to individual states before GW?_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
