nacmacfeegle 0 #7 October 27, 2004 You're a 'Scotsman' reader Tuna? Not a bad paper, a little too much to the right for my tastes, and too focussed on Edinburgh. Good Sunday sister paper though.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. peacefuljeffrey 0 #9 October 27, 2004 QuoteMr Kerry’s spokesman, David Wade, said the senator got the score wrong because 10-9 was the last update he got during his late-night flight to Florida. The problem is, the score never was 10-9. The Sox won on a two-run homer, meaning they went from nine runs to 11. Regardless, Mr Kerry’s adviser, Mike McCurry, explained to reporters: "The senator had bad intelligence last night." However, the confusion struck again within hours of his team’s second game. Landing in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Democratic candidate bounded off the plane wearing his Red Sox cap to exclaim: "Seven-one Red Sox!" The Red Sox were winning 6-1 at the time. They went on to win 6-2. These fuckin' losers can't even keep their shit together to LIE in their own defense. The even screw that up! But... I suppose that if we were thinking of this in a slightly different way... we should want to elect a guy who, along with his staff, can't pull off a decent believable lie... He wouldn't be able to get away with shit, and stuff. -Jeffrey-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" storm1977 0 #12 October 27, 2004 The best is the lie he told last week about the Red Sox. He talked about how he was at the 1986 Game 6 Mets vs. Sox. He said he was 3 rows up at the game in NY on the third base line... He remembered how heartbroken he was. Woops, maybe he forgot he was in BOSTON that night at a late evening Minority function/fundraiser. When confronted with the truth his advisors said he left early from the fundraiser and hoped a shuttle to NY to see the game. Ya right. The fundraiser began at 8PM in Boston. Last Shuttle to Ny on a Sat night is 9PM. Let's pretend he did catch it. (unlikely due to travel time to the airport after being at the fundraiser at 8PM) But if he did catch the 9PM flight he would have landed in NY/LGA airport at 10PM, then maybe got to the game and got his seats by 1030-1045PM. Think about this, you are a huge Sox fan. It is 9PM the game started at 730, and you are going to miss watching it for trying to maybe catch a flight and see 10 minutes of the game.... I doubt it. In fact, I doubt he ever left the Fundraiser he went to. An article was written in the Boston Globe on Kerry's appearence at the Fundraiser. (Proof he was there.) ----------------------------------------------------- Sometimes it is more important to protect LIFE than Liberty
Trent 0 #13 October 27, 2004 If this guy is being proven to have lied already on so many smaller things, (vietnam, hunting, the Sox, etc.) I wonder how easy it'll be for him to lie about bigger things IF he becomes president. I wonder if all the crybabies who scream "BUSH LIED, BUSH LIED" (when there is no evidence of actual lies as much as there may be that mistakes were made) will go to screaming about how their man lied? You're trying to get a shitty liar elected. If he can't lie about sports scores properly, how are you such a sucker that you can't see he's lying about pretty much everything else?Oh, hello again! crozby 0 #14 October 27, 2004 So Kerry gets a score wrong. Big fat hairy deal. Who died? Not 10,000+ Iraqis. Who got injured? Not 10,000+ US troops. It amazes me that you continuously get so irate about the most trivial Kerry blunder yet fail to have anything critical to say about a man who has erroneously caused unimaginable suffering to thousands of people over the last 18 months. Bush must have really touched your soul that you can worship him so faithfully despite the overwhelming evidence that he has done a piss-poor job. I could never bring myself to have that much devotion for a politician, no matter what party they belonged to.
