To be a Limey you'd have to go way back The British/English sailors ate limes to stop scurvy So you colonials started calling us Limeys An about 60% of you guys at one time were Limeys The other 40% are I guess Hienz57 Gone fishing

This is proved by mapping the relative sales of beer and hairgel! Britons (and the term "Great Britain") comes from the French region Breton. And the term "Great Britain" is simply a contrast to "little Breton" Size. Not pride. Incidentally, a few years back they did this potted genetic test on "Northerners" and "Southerners". Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Northerners all ahd "viking" genes, while the Southerners had French Welsh and (of all things) Negroid genes. At one point over 20% of the population of London was negroid, but 60 years later it was down to virtually 0%. This wasn't because they'd all shipped off back to Africa or elsewhere. It was because they'd interbred and had been assimilated At the end of the day, what makes Britain "Great" hsa never been some inherent superiority, it's always been Britain's ability to assimilate the best of any culture that arrives on our shores.
