christelsabine 1 #26 October 19, 2004 Quote like a skydiver can leave the sport after getting an A lic. with just over 30 jumps And being the leader of a huge, oh so huge nation intending to control the world, no, the air? Dude, 30 jumps, an A..... That must be the perfect chief, no doubt! dudeist skydiver # 3105
juanesky 0 #27 October 19, 2004 Hmm If you make the quals for para-trooper, you still get your wings at 5 jumps. Just imagine that to make a fighter pilot you will need over 400 hrs of flying, formation flying and equipment training.... I guess you are saying that all the air servicemen in the US forces are not well prepared? Only a sheep will think he was not in fact a qualified pilot while he was flying....or deny he never was one. I'm sure that is an easy task to accomplish"According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon
juanesky 0 #28 October 19, 2004 If you ever knew what actually takes place to become a fighter pilot, then "perhaps" we could have somewhat of a leveled, intelligent discussion. quade 4 #32 October 19, 2004 Quote I guess you are saying that all the air servicemen in the US forces are not well prepared? No. What I'm saying is that it was ridiculous for you to compare his service to that of a 30 jump wonder that then drops out of the sport. Come on man, you're supposed to be on his side. Dead soldiers as a result of GWB's rush to war isn't really a partisan issue. My guess is those dead soldiers and their families came from both sides of the aisle. Anyway, I can't really say I back GWB even on the local level. Among the worst issues we have in SoCal (and elsewhere in the country) is the lack of funding to deal with the illegal immigration issues. GWB has given lip service to tightening the borders as a result of terrorist threats, but in reality they are as porous as ever leaving local governments to pay for a horrible federal policy. Just one site devoted to the issue. http://www.johnandkenshow.com/, but they're going after a local politician rather than the fountainhead cause like, ya know, they're a Clear Channel station and can't really say anything against GWB. It's funny to listen to them tap-dance around that.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Bill Handel in the morning. John and Ken in the afternoon. Perhaps -that's- why I don't mind the 45 minute drive to and from work so much these days. (oh, don't worry, there's KNPR on for a 'fair and balanced view' as well). :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

christelsabine 1 #50 October 19, 2004 Quote Yep, Reagan was an actor -- remember him? He tore down the wall that divided your country for 40+ years As far as I know, he did not tore down any wall in Germany. He paved the way for Mr. Bush sen. And as a pioneer on that, RR will remain in the books of history. Hereafter, Bush sen. and friends "tore down the wall". So, what do you expect from me? dudeist skydiver # 3105
