Police Tell Kerry to Stop Saying They Support Him

Recommended Posts

I doubt most of the individual cops support him, but the labor organizations they belong to probably do.

That was always the case when I was working. I was very quick to use the option to not have whatever that portion of my dues used to promote political campaigns.

The FOP, (Fraternal Order of Police) endorsed Bush. The FOP takes endorsing presidential candidates very seriously after screwing up in 1996. They endorsed Bill Clinton and there was almost a revolt among the local and state lodges.

I disagree with your statement most individual cops don't support him(Bush). LEO's tend to be generally conservative in their politics. The vast number I know support Bush, however some support Kerry.

The firefighters are a completely different matter. Their union is a part of the AFL-CIO. 'Nuff said, they are the ones always standing behind Kerry with their yellow signs.

Not to surprising,I guess.Sounds like he's getting desperate, claiming he has the support of a large majority of law enforcement when he doesnt:S

That's the strategy of liberals/democrats:

Throw out a flurry of lies, and by the time the truth reaches people they'll have already voted. Who gives a shit if the lies get countered and corrected later on? Leftists have made the realization that if they lie and make themselves look better than they are, it is very hard for the opposition to track down the lies and re-inform people with the truth.

Look at how many people STILL believe that Glocks are all plastic and can go through metal detectors! Look at how many people STILL believe that the death of the "assault weapons ban" is a bad thing because "machine guns will be back on the streets."

These were calculated lies by the left, and they've done the job they were created to do. They've misinformed people into supporting bullshit causes that they would not ordinarily have supported.

Well, I'm not a cop just yet, but since two departments seem just about ready to give me the good word, I'll chime in.

First, I don't think Duece said most cops wouldn't support Bush. He said most individual cops do support BUsh, but their collective bargaining bodies don't.

Second, from what I've seen, you seem to be right in that most cops have a more right leaning ideology and most hose jockeys tend to lean left. I don't know, maybe it has to do with the fact that one group has to deal with people in accordance with law handed down by the politicians, and the other just has to fight fire in accordance with the laws of physics.

Finally, yeah, who's really suprised that Kerry is claiming something he hasn't earned? :P

That (claiming something.....thing) seems to be an illness of some politicians in the US, outstanding example: GWB
