PayPerView won't air Michael Moore pre-election "special"

LOL! That lying piece of shit can't get people to show his drivel! I love it!

Oh, here's a quote of his bitching and whining about it:

Quote

"Moore said Friday he signed a contract with the company in early September and is considering legal action. He said he believes iN DEMAND decided not to air the film because of pressure from "top Republican people."

"Apparently people have put pressure on them and they've broken a contract," Moore told The Associated Press.

"We've informed them of their legal responsibility and we all informed them that every corporate executive that has attempted to prohibit Americans from seeing this film has failed," Moore said. "There's been one struggle or another over this, but we've always come out on top because you can't tell Americans they can't watch this."

I wonder if this is sort of like when he claimed that Disney broke a contract with him, when it came out later that he lied, and mischaracterized their deal, and they had said from the beginning that they would not distribute F-9/11.

And then he says that it's another vast, right-wing conspiracy to "prohibit Americans from seeing this film."

WTF is he talking about?! Who has prohibited anyone from seeing this piece of shit? Do you mean it didn't have a huge theater run? Do you mean it isn't available at Blockbuster, or Hollywood Video, for a couple of bucks? Just what fuckin' definition of "prohibited" are you using, you useless piece of shit?!

I'd like to know how a company not wanting to dirty their hands with his pathetic little diatribe-movie is "prohibiting" anyone from seeing it.

Moore and Moore lies...

It's more of the 'any press is good press' crap. Just like we read in another thread that leaders of the DNC suggesting spinning up the news folks about election day fraud, bias, blah, blah, blah.

Your link is outdated...refers to Paris Hilton.

I'm not quite sure you should be so joyous about this. No one has to watch a PPV event, and cheering that he can't get it available sounds suspiciously on the wrong side of the 1st Amendment.

Would you be bitching and moaning if an NRA attempt to air a viewpoint was blocked? Almost certainly. You shouldn't be afraid of Moore trying to do the same.

One of the main objectives of 1st Amendment is the protection of political speech from the chiling effects of government interference.

A private-sector cable company can make a business judgement to air or refuse to air political movies, speech, news, advertisement - whatever it wants - without running afoul of the Constitution.

No 1st Amendment issues exist whatsover regarding dumping F 9/11 unless government complicity to stiffle free speech was implicated.

On the other hand, a 1st Amendment action will no doubt be brought (and succeed) in Federal court if the FEC or other govt agency attempts to interfere with Sinclair's recently announced decision to broadcast a negative program on Kerry across its network.

If that sucks for Kerry - there's little he can do about it but hope nothing in the smear job sticks. He probably got too much mileage off F 9/11 anyway & Dems invited revenge by playing up Moore.

I wish someone reputable would have made a real documentary out of "American Dynasty" - an exceptionally well-researched & well documented book about the Bushes' long term connections to oil, mideast intrique, intelligence community, weapons industry & military establishment, the house of Saud, etc written by a former Republican insider.

Informing the public of the true history regarding the Bush Family & this administration as researched by Kevin Phillips (which in many ways is far more troubling than F 9/11) without creative editing, lies & cheap shots would have contributed a deeper, broader & legitimate perspective to America's political dialogue.

Yeah, poor old MM, what an asswipe he is>:( I recently read that he is to appear at the U of O and is waiving his $20,000 appearance fee on his "slacker" tour (whatever the hell that is). A 20 grand fee? Yeah, he is just one of the guys huh? What a puke!

They did. It's right between 'Bigfoot is my Father' and 'I had Sex with the Loch Ness Monster'.

And forcing PayPerView to show it against their will isis on the right side of the 1st Amendment?

Liberal is so wishy-washy.

Ah, but I never said that someone should be forced to carry it, did I? I said that being gleeful that someone's viewpoint you disliked was supressed was pushing the grey line. I mean, what are you really afraid of? That's millions of people will pay $19.95 to see it? If it's bullshit like you believe, then sales will be terrible, and publicly so.

In the past the NRA has been shut out by anti gun media comglomerates and been very unhappy about it. Legal does not always equal right. But keep in mind that as large of people distrust anything coming from it as they do Moore.
