sundevil777 102 #51 October 9, 2004 I think Kerry just might be able to polish a turd. If you want that skill in a president, you know what to do.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

TheAnvil 0 #53 October 9, 2004 One of the main problem with Kerry is that when one examines his votes throughout his Senate career, his statements, and the facts in question on almost any issue it is impossible to make them all comport with one another. He simply has no credibility on any issue. Tonight he was talking about balancing the budget whilst touting a national health care plan and proposing expanding the military. How can ANYONE take this buffoon seriously? Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

tunaplanet 0 #55 October 9, 2004 QuoteI actually felt he clarified alot of that tonight.. Were you actually watching the debate? The moderater had to ask him 3 seperate times to clarify his answer. Of course everytime he was asked that he started off, "I will. But before I answer your question I want to go back to what Bush said earlier..." Same ole same ole. TheAnvil 0 #56 October 9, 2004 Same ole same ole is right dude. I want something new. I think they should have a lumberjack contest between the two. Log rolling...caber tossing...tree chopping...tree climbing...and all the works! Followed by a motorcycle race and a tractor pull. Something for everyone. rhino 0 #57 October 9, 2004 Look... I'm not a Pro-Kerry person.. He did avoid questions this evening as did Bush.. I favor Bush.. But Kerry DID clarify some things this evening.. He did it well..
PhreeZone 20 #58 October 9, 2004 Well.. what do you expect when both parties went so far as to put a red tape line down on the ground indicating it was a no crossing line. No asking questions back to the audience with out the moderator slaping you down for it? The whole thing would have been better if half the "rules" they agreed to were dropped and the thing was allowed to operate similar to school board meetings where after the person states their opinion they have to answer 3 or 4 follow up questions that are created on the spot from both sides. See them sweat when tossed real hardball questions on the fly.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
TheAnvil 0 #59 October 9, 2004 How about forcing them both to drink a six pack prior to the debate? I don't think we'll ever see that sort of debate, though I would truly enjoy it. AggieDave 6 #70 October 9, 2004 QuoteMr. President - May I date your daughters? Both of them? I've met and had dinner with both of them...trust me, you don't want them, they're really bitchy. GWB on the other hand is awsome one on one, a very personable guy, very down to earth and definately who I want to be the president for the next 4 years.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Muenkel 0 #71 October 9, 2004 I'm going to say it; GWB did a flip-flop! This clearly was not the man we saw last Thursday. IMO, GWB wiped the floors with Kerry tonight. So I agree with someone previously in this thread, it's now 1-1. _________________________________________ Chris
Michele 1 #72 October 9, 2004 I went out for the evening, and so didn't hear any of the "post-game" commentary... I just read through these posts, and it astounds me that the polls are that lopsided...and I agree with whomever stated that flash polling really isn't as accurate as the ones done a day or so after. I *still* think Bush won, and while I am decidedly a Bush voter, I think Kerry did well. The race is on, and I just wish I could've watched the VP debate. Anyone have a link I could at least read it on? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

kallend 2,147 #75 October 9, 2004 I was disappointed with Kerry's response to the question on taxpayer funding for abortion. Taxpayers don't get to choose what their $$ go for. SOme people object to capital punishment, some to gun control, some to nuclear weapons, some to welfare (both individual and corporate). They don't get to choose, why should abortion opponents get to choose?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
