I haven't gotten to that yet then? hmmm... no...really...I'm wanting an honest opinion from any/all who have read or attempted to read this book. _________________________________________
pajarito 0 #4 October 8, 2004 I've been meaning to for a year but just haven't yet. I've heard lots of good things about it. Nothing bad.
StevePhelps 0 #5 October 8, 2004 I met Rick in 1989. He was saying all these things, but no one was listening to him because he was pastoring a church of 2K in a school building. Now he has a 20K mega church, EVERYONE is all ears. Lots of good truth in his book, which was truths from his purpose driven church lessons, sermons, etc., applied to everyday life. I highly reccommend it. I'm a gleaner. Even if you don't follow Christian teachings (I do) all truth is God's truth regardless of where you find it. An atheist could find many principles to apply to their lives. Christians will be assisted in finding their purpose, thus giving their life more meaning. GARYC24 3 #6 October 8, 2004 I am reading it now. I started over, at page 94. I like the book very much! One aspect I like in reading this compared to other inspirational books I have read. Is that I am a single 44 yr old, never married christian man, most books seem to always be bulit around family, wife, husband, father, etc. I don't find that in this book! Not that many books (and or churches have much to offer to a single adult, this one can, however)
RkyMtnHigh 0 #7 October 8, 2004 I understand that it's supposed to be a commitment to read a chapter each day for 40 days..but I couldn't help myself and went straight to Chapter 25 to hopefully gain some insight on life's challenges and tough times. _________________________________________
