AggieDave 6 #4 October 6, 2004 Its already getting ugly. Man, this going to be one to really watch. I really think that Edwards is over his head going against Cheney, but he's holding his party line well.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." tunaplanet 0 #5 October 6, 2004 Correct. Edwards is a good speaker (former trial lawyer) but yes, Cheney is a wizard. He can't be shaken. Forty-two
AggieDave 6 #6 October 6, 2004 Out of curiosity. What is Edwards' lapel pin supposed to be? Everyone else in politics wears a little American Flag, I wonder why he's different. Even Kerry wears one.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
kallend 2,150 #7 October 6, 2004 QuoteCorrect. Edwards is a good speaker (former trial lawyer) but yes, Cheney is a wizard. He can't be shaken. I think they are both doing well. Cheney keeps scowling though.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
Jethers203 0 #8 October 6, 2004 Damn that little moment was intense. I really wish Cheney could reach over and slap him. Does anyone else think the moderator is a republican? I kind of got that vibe off her.

Jib 0 #10 October 6, 2004 Did Edwards just say Israel has the obligation to defend itself against the Palestinians? Yeah, he's gonna reach out to the middle east. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. rhino 0 #18 October 6, 2004 Cheney just made Edwards look like a pre-schooler..... OUCH.... The though of Kerry being elected and assasinated only to have edwards take over is SCARY!!! Cheney on the other hand would make a great president. Rhino
kallend 2,150 #19 October 6, 2004 I can't see any undecided voter being influenced by this "debate". Both stuck pretty much to the party line, and neither made a blunder. Cheney looked SO MUCH better than Bush did last week.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

AggieDave 6 #21 October 6, 2004 Talk about a knock down drag out debate. It was truely a boxing match with words, instead of a pure debate, even none-political types would have enjoyed watching the first half of the debate. I do think Cheney dominated Edwards on many of the issues. Edwards seemed like a broken record at times, repeating campaign slogans. Cheney came out strong with facts to push against the slogans. Unfortuately the debate lost steam when it got away from war and went to domestic issues.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #24 October 6, 2004 Anyone else watching PBS? They have an Aggie professor on, from Texas A&M University. They said he's in Austin and they have a backdrop of Austin behind him.
