tunaplanet 0 #2 October 1, 2004 This is a no-brainer. Bush is the most down-to-earth politician I have ever seen. When he speaks I see him speaking to me. When Kerry talks I see him talking down to me. Forty-two

newsstand 0 #4 October 1, 2004 I'd end up in jail for bitching W out and Kerry would bore me to death. "Truth is tough. quade 4 #6 October 1, 2004 I get the feeling that Kerry, with his history of other sports, would be capable of being a pretty good skydiver and I'd enjoy talking with him. He seems intelligent. Not that I don't hang with some pretty dumb skydivers sometimes, look we're all there to have fun, but Kerry seems like he'd have something interesting to say rather than just "WAZZUP?!?" On the other hand, GWB brings a couple of interesting possibilities to the DZ as well. He was a hard core party animal in his youth (nobody really disputes that) and his daughters would supply some interesting eye-candy.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
DrunkMonkey 0 #7 October 1, 2004 I'd rather just nail one or both of the Bush girls. It'd be great to be able to meet him, salute, lean forward, and whisper "I boned both yer little angels." It'd be worth the Secret Service asskicking and subsequent Court Martial....
headoverheels 334 #8 October 1, 2004 Maybe Kerry would do a little skysurfing
billvon 3,091 #9 October 1, 2004 Bush if he didn't talk much, just skydived and drank beer. If I had to talk to the guy, Kerry.
nacmacfeegle 0 #10 October 1, 2004 "Bush if he didn't talk much, just skydived and drank beer." Aye, but there's a few things I'd like to chat with Dubbya about, off the record, but the real clincher is.... Which beer would each candidate bring? I'm guessing Bush would bring Shiner (being from Texas and all), and thats gotta be worth a couple of points in my book.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. rehmwa 2 #11 October 1, 2004 Bush - Regular guy in comparison. Kerry I see as a cliquey type and self proclaimed skygod (at 100 jumps) that would hire ringers as player coaches for a team, only jump with expensive coaches, and once he got good, only jump with experienced types and not share with the newbies. I mean really, "don't you know who he is?" Also, he'd be a big one for debriefing everybody after the dive is over and tell them how he'd do better than them, but then not commit to what he'll do on the next dive because 'how could he know until was actually in the dive'. 100% hindsight, no commitment to foresight. ... livendive 8 #12 October 1, 2004 They are both elitist fuckwads who I would avoid if given the option. If I absolutely had to socialize with one of them though, I'd take Kerry because his plain vanilla pomposity is more tolerable than Bush's divinely-inspired, illiterate flavor of pomposity. wmw999 2,565 #13 October 1, 2004 I think I'm with Bill. Bush might be easier to hang out with, but Kerry would be a much more interesting and multi-faceted friend to talk to. No question who I'd rather have at a dinner party at my house (Kerry), or who I'd rather have as the leader at a massive beer bash at the DZ (Bush). Shotgun 1 #21 October 4, 2004 I was watching a show about Kerry last night and he said something along the lines of "Well, you won't see me jumping out of a plane." So he might not be very fun to hang out with at the dz... though I guess he could _fly_ the plane or something... I think Wendy's right about Bush and a keg of beer... if we could get him all boozed up, he'd probably be a lot more fun to hang out with...Those Texas boys sure know how to party ... but he doesn't drink anymore, does he? Actually I think Cheney would be more fun than either of those guys.
