PhillyKev 0 #28 September 30, 2004 QuoteDid you see me cry 24/7 and post negative posts about him every day like you do about Bush? Nope, but what does that have to do with you saying "Republicans are far more mature. You won't see any of them bitching/moaning/crying/complaining about how the election was stolen from them. They'll hold their heads up and stand behind their new leader and follow him to hell and back. " What you claim as your personal traits have no bearing, by your own admission, on what any other republicans will do.
tunaplanet 0 #29 September 30, 2004 QuoteWhat you claim as your personal traits have no bearing, by your own admission, on what any other republicans will do. This is true. However, I feel the republicans that post here are far more intelligent and mature than their counterparts. This is in no way a slam, just the way I see it. In general you shouldn't see the same amount of crying that you do from the liberals here. You'll have your moron conservative that posts blabbering bullshit every once in a while but for the vast majority it should be fairly mature around here. kelpdiver 2 #33 October 1, 2004 Quote You want to voice your dislike for the POTUS? Great! You get your chance every 4 years. After that everyone needs to shut their hole and S2 (sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up). Since Kerry won't win (and you firmly believe that), this is an easy pledge for you to make. I'd believe it when I see it. And I don't see any reason to wait 4 years to complain about a bad elected official. Take Arnold, who promised to lead California very differently than before. Total BS - in this last week he has signed worthless legislation banning both the .50 rifles and the production and consumption of foie gras. The latter was a pet project of the lead Democrat - simple horse trading. Both are perfect examples of governing too much, and will add no value to Californian lives. Will he care when I write him a letter to that effect? He might, if only for the fact he has been relying on initiatives to get some of his policies goals in motion. sundevil777 102 #35 October 1, 2004 Depends on how much voter fraud is uncovered, huge in the 2000 election, and expected to be much greater this year. Dems are by far the bigger recipient of the fraud, as analyzed by those who analyze such stuff.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
ChasingBlueSky 0 #36 October 1, 2004 QuoteToo many whiners on these boards. The funny thing is I never saw this behavior at the DZs. Guess that is why Florida is a swing state and people don't know how to use a voting station. I don't know what DZs you have been to, but I've heard plenty of politics discussed at the bonfire up here in Chicago and at Rantoul. A patriot would support the freedom of speech as it is one of the most basic rights we have as a citizen. Telling someone "S2" is closeminded and about as far as you can get from being a true American. The freedom to "whine" is something other countries don't have....well, you can but you may end up dead. Complaining about leaders has helped remove them from office in this country. Stifling an opinion because it doesn't fit in with yours is a terrible thing. Telling someone to "S2" because they are complaining about a leader they didn't vote for and feel that leader is taking their country down a terrible misguided path? That is Patriotism? Doubt it, but you have the freedom to do that because this is America. Therefore everyone else should have that same freedom to do it. If you don't like it, don't listen, change the channel or don't come to speakers corner. Blindly supporting a leader because of a title is a deadly thing. If you were in Germany would you have supported Hitler?_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... This is in no way a slam, just the way I see it. And how many of these liberals have been banned form this forum? From my reading, the childish and abusive responses have been coming from the conservatives. I'm sure Billvon could settle that arguement. "S2" is mature and intelligent? Then again, its the grown up conservatives that came up with stuff like "sKerry" and consider a tan and botox a political issue. BTW - Rush and his counterparts made serious bank spending 8 years on the air and writing books making fun of Clinton. Fox would have a field day for four years as would O'Reilly._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... lawrocket 3 #42 October 1, 2004 Quoteconsider a tan and botox a political issue no we don't. "Tanned, rested, ready" was the call for Nixon in 88. Botox? I dunno. Also, it seems to me Limbaugh made it big in Bush 1's presidency. Conservatives took over talk radio, on the basis of Joe sixpack paying attention. In response to the question, "What will the Republicans do if Kerry wins?" I'd have to say that they'd move on to get Congressional seats to stall government a bit. Personally, I'd like to see a Democrat controlled Congress with Republican presidents and vice versa. I don't think you'll see Republicans stating they'll leave the country if Kerry wins. Seems to me they figured out that such hyperbole is useless thanks to Basinger, Baldwin and Streisand (I think BS promised that). My wife is hotter than your wife. complexity 0 #44 October 1, 2004 If Kerry is in office, it will probably make FOX news happy -- as they will have more conspiracies and such to discuss. Nice concept, but ideally a different mix (let the spenders - Dem/Reps. be in conflict with the anti-spends - Libs) legislative = domestic policy - libertarian senate/Dem House executive = foreign policy - republican pres judicial = law - anybody who just enforces the existing law, not interpret or try to change it. ... billvon 3,119 #47 October 1, 2004 >legislative = domestic policy - libertarian senate/Dem House I think the libertarian party has not had enough exposure to the real world to season their views yet. Complete cessation of support for all foreign US military operations might not be such a good idea, and a senate composed of such people would make mincemeat of our military. >judicial = law - anybody who just enforces the existing law, not interpret or try to change it. ?? Prosecutors enforce the law; judges interpret it. If they didn't, you wouldn't need anything more than a bailiff and a jury at most trials.
