My election message

Recommended Posts

The views and opinions expressed in this thread are mine an mine alone

The world’s eye has once again turned to the U.S.A. It’s election time.

All the badinage, All the accusations flying, Bush did this, Kerry’s gonna do that.
I’m not American so it’s not too important to me which one wins.
What is important to me is:-
That your President elect stays on the international stage
That your President elect Keeps on fighting against terrorism in all it’s forms an guises
That your President elect Keeps on with the fight against drugs
That your President elect Keeps on with the fight against oppression
That your President elect Keeps on swallowing all the criticism that an ungrateful world throw’s at him, knowing that in his heart of hearts he has made the right an often difficult decision. (I’m talking international not domestic)

Your heritage is one of guardians of the peace
Other responsible nations will try to help you
An one day we WILL live in peace with each other
regardless of religion, race, colour or creed.

May your (according to your beliefs) God bless you.

I dont' know how much time you've spent abroad, Turtle, but in my experience, there's often a lot more than "some" understanding "out there" - in many cases, more so than here in-country. Also, the whole non-American world isn't anti-American, even though it can seem that way sometimes.

I wanna give the world a hug. :)

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

GREAT! Damn bleeding heart

I have travelled to many countries, I served in Desert Shield and Storm. It was not a fun time. I experianced ALOT of hatred toward the US, but not as much as I found support to what we are doing.

BTW did you know that per capita - Americans know less about politics and government doings tha ALL of the European Countries?

Ask a political question to someone in the back streets of suburbia, or the back streets of inner city america and you will get puzzled looks. Ask that same question to the same definitive area in a european country and get at the least a semi informed answer.

Sad.[:/]
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

Having gone to school and spent lots of time in Europe, that doesn't surprise me in the least. In fact, I would have assumed that, as a matter of common sense considering their much higher levels of education and literacy, and their more 'global community' perspective.

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
