"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime He presents a
particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his
continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction
So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ..."

To keep the flippin' to one sentence, we can always regurgitate the famous 86 billion commentary.

Did he vote for it, or against it? :o

Maybe he said the same thing alot of us did;

"We were all for it, until we realized we had been misled and our support had been taken advantage of..."

Oh, my mistake, I guess I should just stick with it because I was stupid enough to fall for it in the first place...

So let me make sure I understand what Kerry is saying. In December 2003 he basically said that anyone who doesn't think we are safer without SH was wrong.

Then, 9 months later he's saying that although it's good SH is gone there is now chaos in Iraq and the USA is no safer than it was before SH was removed.

Gimme a break. That's not flip-flopping. It's stating the bleeding obvious. The situation in Dec 2003 in Iraq was nowhere near as bad as it is now. Now it's a bloody mess. Any politician that tried to pretend otherwise would be a total fucking liar. Or stupid. Or both.

Noun 1. flip-flop - a decision to reverse an earlier decision
Synonyms: change of mind, turnabout, turnaround, reversal

It's not even a flip-flop in the true sense of the word!

And thats you're favorite???? What's you're second favorite?;)

And they are both true. Deposing Saddam was a good thing, and Bush has so mismanaged the aftermath that there is more chaos now.

Can't blame Kerry for Bush's incompetence.

No I don't see that as a flip/flop.

He voted for it when it didn't have tax breaks in it, and he voted against it when it did.

So yes, he flip/floped.

However the real issue is he thought that getting rid of the tax cuts was more important that providing body armor for our troops.

So even if you don't want to call it a flip flop, he did put tax issues ahead of our troops safety.

And thats fucked up for anyone, much less a guy that wants to command the troops.

This one's my favorite, regarding the wall that Israel has been building:

In Nov 2003, in a speech to a Palestinian advocacy group, he openly came out in opposition to the wall, dubbing it a “barrier to peace,” and criticizing Israeli leadership for “derailing” the peace process.

But then in Feb 2004, in an interview with the Jerusalem Post, Kerry asserted that the wall, "continues to be a legitimate act of self-defense”

Was this a legitimate changing of his position based on new information, or was it pandering based on his audience? His track record leans me to the latter.
