What do you consider acceptable as proof of citizenship?

Birth certificate
U.S. Government doc that says you are naturalized

What is acceptable ID?

Government Issued Photo ID -- D/L, Passport, etc

I'm sure you'll come up with others.

Well here is what is says on the registration form (which I did not have to fill out btw, I just had to sign a print out that had all my info on it)

TO REGISTER YOU MUST:
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Be 18 years of age
(Note: You must be 18 years old on or
before the date of the general, primary or
other election in which you want to vote.)
- Reside in this state and at your present
address at least 30 days before an election
- Important: You must include your complete
address with apartment number or unit number
to ensure your registration confirmation
and to receive important mailings.

Yet here is the only ID you need to prove the above.

- A valid Colorado driver's license; or
- A valid Colorado Department of Revenue
identification card; or
- A valid U.S. passport; or
- A valid pilot's license with photograph issued
by the Federal Aviation Administration; or
- A valid employee identification with a
photograph issued by the U.S. Government,
Colorado state government, or any county,
municipality, board, authority, or other
political subdivision of the state; or
- A valid U.S. Military Identification card
with photograph; or
- A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement,
government check, paycheck, or other
governmental document that shows the
name and address of the elector; or
- At least the last four digits of the person's
social security number.

So I'm guessing they must do a background check or something cause it took about 6 weeks to get my voter card in the mail. Since I'm native born to the US I didn't have any problems. ;)

Gotta have ID on both ends (registration and voting) here in MD. Gotta have it when you make any changes as well.
