captain1 0 #1 September 21, 2004 Ha Ha Ha. I am sure CBS President Andrew Heyward had to drag Old Danny boy to the podium in order to get him to apologize. My hat goes off to the likes of Dan Rather and Micheal Moore. If it were not for their blinding hatred of the Republican party, Bush would have a much more difficult job at getting re-elected. I will finish with this quote from Dan, "I have confidence that those people who don't have a specific partisan political or ideological agenda will understand what happened, how it happened, and I think they have confidence in CBS's credibility and my own. I do have a lifetime of reporting." Please, who is he trying to convince, swing voters?
cvfd1399 0 #2 September 21, 2004 Yea he appoligized but they payed/threatned that nation guard commander into comming back for an interview and saying that he mislead them with that report. Old danny boy even said "is it correct that YOU gave us that false information" he replied "yes i mislead you with it" They knew what they were doing when they aired the first report, but when the shit hit the fan they drug someone in there with freshly stuffed pockets to take some of the heat and then disappear. tunaplanet 0 #3 September 21, 2004 Wasn't much of an apology. He should have aplogized to Bush personally on national television for attempting to deceive the american people into voting for Kerry based on forged documents CBS ran with knowing all along they were fake after 2 experts told them they were. Well at least Rather will be known for the biased anchorman that he is with a deep hatred for Bush and CBS is now known as the most biased network in the history of television. The liberals -- here represented by Rather -- are intellectually, morally, ideologically and ethically BANKRUPT, and this whole debacle proves and underscores that fact plainly.
