tantalum 0 #1 September 13, 2004 "If the Republicans stop telling lies about the Democrats, the Democrats will agree to stop telling the truth about Republicans". What's wrong with a statement like that? It shows that civilized political discourse in the US among (roughly) 50% of the population has basically broken down. What a sad state of affairs: and this country is trying to teach the rest of the world about democracy (or is that democrazy)? And 90% of the postings in this specific forum attest to that. Sad, indeed...

mardigrasbob 0 #6 September 13, 2004 Tapioca is basically a root starch derived from the cassava, or yuca plant. It's often used to thicken soups and sweeten the flavor of baked goods, and it makes a dandy pudding. The cassava plant is native to South America and the West Indies, where its thick, fibrous roots are used in a variety of forms: bread flour, laundry starch, an alcoholic brew, and of course, tapioca pudding. In processing, heat ruptures the starch grains, converting them to small, irregular masses that are further baked into flake tapioca. A pellet form, known as pearl tapioca, is made by forcing the moist starch through sieves. -----------------

Well, the Left will also tell you lies like "tofu can be made to taste great, a wonderful substitute for meat." It's not unlike their other lies, like, "The assault-weapons ban expiration is going to result in a torrent of bloodshed and cop-killings, even though rifles that fired the exact same ammunition the exact same way have been available all during the ban's lifespan." You can always count on the Left trying to convince you of things that are false on their face. Blue skies, -Jeffrey --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind...
