Jib 0 #26 September 13, 2004 QuoteQuoteQuoteKerry has a valid point. The Florida GOP resisted releasing the "felon" list until forced to do so by the courts earlier this year. Only then did they decide not to use it. Forced? I thought it was a negotiated resolution? WRONG. I misread your post. It seems rather irrelevant as the list is out and the negotiated one will not be used this year anyway. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. Funny, I thought that link said the reasons were Unknown. But I guess Kallend has all the answers. Would you like me to post the other 16,399 links? Even the Florida GOP has admitted using faulty lists of felons to disqualify voters in the 2000 election. Oh, so the Republican Party is in charge of elections in Florida, not the Board of Elections? You said that the "GOP" is the entity that disqualified voters. While the elections supervisor may have been a Republican, that is hardly "the GOP" running the election and disqualifying voters. Once again, you embellish to the point of making it seem like you're lying or misinforming. And when faults in the lists were discovered, they were NOT USED, meaning that the droves of disqualified voters as well as those who should not have been disqualified WERE able to vote, and even that didn't turn the tide for Gore (even though we all know that felons tend to vote overwhelmingly for soft-on-crime Democrats). -Jeffrey --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Ron 10 #33 September 14, 2004 I love this: Quote"What they did in Florida in 2000, some say they may be planning to do this year in battleground states all across this country," Kerry said You mean like winning cause they got more votes? Ron 10 #34 September 14, 2004 QuoteElection analysts say that the error rate was compounded by a high black turnout that included many new or infrequent voters more likely to make mistakes on their ballots. In many cases, ballots were disqualified because the person voted for more than one candidate for president or none at all. That's fine with me. I object to disenfranchising people because they have the same name as a felon in another state, though. Funny that this list compiled by a GOP controlled board had lots of errors improperly disenfranchising black voters but hardly any relating to Cuban-Americans. Yup, funny! Funny that until forced by the court to disclose the list, this GOP controlled board wanted to keep this year's list a secret. Yes, that was funny too.... Well, we get this from the same Democratic party that believes if you're black, you're poor, and if you're white, you're prosperous, and there we have the basis for Affirmative Action. More and more, while they try to paint themselves as compassionate and egalitarian, Democrats reveal themselves to be full-on racially prejudiced. "Blacks are poor and need affirmative action.
