tunaplanet 0 #1 September 10, 2004 This is for the democrats. What do you like specifically about Kerry. Be as detailed as possible. Oh, and see if you all can do it without using the words, "Bush" or "Republican/Conservative". No smoke and mirrors, reverse spotlight, etc... Just your reasons why you like the man you'll be voting for in November. Forty-two
Jimbo 0 #2 September 10, 2004 My guess is that there are two or three people who can (or will) answer your question honestly, and without mentioning either Bush, the Republicans, or the RNC. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. tunaplanet 0 #3 September 10, 2004 I'm genuinely interested in why the liberals that post on here like Kerry. You rarely see anyone talk about why they love their man. I'm actually curious about what they find appealing about him. I would also like to see a seperate thread regarding Bush. Forty-two

PhillyKev 0 #7 September 10, 2004 QuoteHave your thoughts changed? Nope. Other than disliking Bush more and more every day, my thoughts about Kerry's mediocre plusses haven't changed. I just can't think of any benefit to keeping Bush around. I'm pinning most of my hopes on "he won't be as bad". Sorry that I had to break your edict, Tuna, and mention Bush in why I like Kerry. But it's my honest answer. Some of his plans and proposals I like. On their own, not enough for me to vote for him. I would find a third party candidate to vote for that I agreed with more if I didn't think it was immensely important for the well being of the next decade to get Bush out of office. Even if it means setlling for someone not as bad instead of picking the best choice.
tunaplanet 0 #8 September 10, 2004 QuoteSorry that I had to break your edict, Tuna, and mention Bush in why I like Kerry. It's ok. I didn't think too many people were capable of discussing the positive points of their candidate without resorting to mirror and reverse spotlight tactics. So far there's a big goose egg for those who can discuss what they like about Kerry without mentioning Bush or Republicans. Who will be the first? PhreeZone 20 #11 September 10, 2004 Sure - Not drilling in the ANWR, rolling back the recently passed bill to allow roads and logging to take place in over 65 million acres of undisturbed wilderness through out the US. Restricting and controlling mineral rights and drilling privilages both offshore and in country. I like his voting and talks in the past to pass the cost of maintence of logging roads back to the companies using the roads instead of using large amounts of the NPS budget to fix roads no one else is allowed to use. For energy - tax credits for more fuel efficient cars, Kerry has always pushed for "green" energy useage. His plan for complete independence from mideast oil is a pipe dream... but any move towards that is good.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Confetti is falling and the angels are crying! That is the one thing that bothers me about Bush: He cannot correctly pronounce the one thing that could end the world, which he has total power over. Still, not changing my vote. Some folks say "Warshington." mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills. Would you call Stephen Hawking a Moron because he Can't pronounce anything, or CLinton a Moron because he can't pronounce Kosovo? WoW that is pretty arrogant. I think this is the 3rd time you mentioned this too. I guess it shows how shallow you are and how you sterotype people so easily... Glad I am not in your class room...
