turtlespeed 226 #1 September 9, 2004 According to a story this morning,. the Genesis probe was carrying materials that "could have unlocked the secrets of the origination of the universe." Maybe they would have given a very few clues, but not the answers. But - the data was contaminated. What went wrong?I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
Zenister 0 #2 September 9, 2004 do you know much about how the sun really works? neither do the rest of us down here... learning more would have certainly helped us understand how stars form and develop, which in turn helps us understand how the universe formed.... is everything we dont know always a secret? No, but when its hidden inside a continual, selfsustaining fusion reaction some 93 million miles away, it certainly doesnt qualify as 'common knowledge' ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. turtlespeed 226 #3 September 9, 2004 Quotedo you know much about how the sun really works? Nice of you to answer for me. I'll refrain from answering since you have already assumed one for me. Quote neither do the rest of us down here... learning more would have certainly helped us understand how stars form and develop, which in turn helps us understand how the universe formed.... Quoteis everything we dont know always a secret? Yes, until someone discovers the truth, and expecially if we do not posess the tech to truely understand it. QuoteNo, but when its hidden inside a continual, selfsustaining fusion reaction some 93 million miles away, it certainly doesnt qualify as 'common knowledge' What is hidden? I don't see anything hiding.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
 Zenister 0 #4 September 9, 2004 you can see the internal workings of the the sun?? i think that qualifies as hidden dont you?? sorry that probe would have told us more than we know... since no one else.. (sorry shouldnt have spoken for the omnipotent shell wearer... maybe you should contact NASA with your knowledge, i'm sure they be interested since their probe augered in. You know you could have saved us alot of money by speaking up earlier, what kind of citizen are you ??) down here has that knowledge.. what is really funny is your now arguing against your own "cough bullshit cough" comment..... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. We'll never have all the answers, but it sure is nice to have enough of them to live the way we do. Sad that we have lost another few answers to a malfunctioning probe.
