jumper03 0 #1 September 2, 2004 I just hope it goes smoothly. After the debacle that was our last election and the scenes of repubs and dems fighting over pregnant chads and hanging chads, I don't want to even think about how we'll be percieved this time if the pooch gets screwed. I actually felt embarassed by it all. Democracy is a beautiful thing - but that was ugly. So get your act together Florida!!! Mess it up this time and I'll be looking for a fault system to activate to cut you loose and let you float into the Atlantic. billvon 3,119 #2 September 2, 2004 I don't think there's much chance of it going smoothly. Many places are using electronic voting machines with some pretty spotty history, and the race looks as close as the 2000 race. Both sides have proven they will stop at nothing to mess with an election.
Botellines 0 #3 September 2, 2004 Is it public knowledge what system those voting machines use to avoid tampering?

PhreeZone 20 #5 September 2, 2004 It might be Ohio thats the decider this year if not FL. Both are contested heavly right now. Ohio is as screwed up as FL is in its voting systems. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
PhillyKev 0 #6 September 2, 2004 Don't forget PA. Last nat'l summary I saw said if not FL than PA would be the decider. And fortunately, our voting system isn't fucked.
