Just because I agree with someone's positions doesn't mean I agree with their actions. But I did think his movie was interesting and unique in the way it used blatant propaganda and made a big deal out of people not answering slanted-rhetorical questions. If I were on the other side of the fence I'd probably feel the same way about someone supporting Bush using the same kind of slanted, one-sided, sound bite filled, propaganda. Movies that go theatrical, DVD, cable get viewed by a large audience. Movies that go to the theater go there to make the most money. I think that if a movie doesn't pencil out to make enough money via theatrical release -- it -may- go direct to video. Take "Cutaway" for example. It -was- originally designed as a theatrical release, but the company that owned it, USA Networks, decided it wouldn't make enough money to cover the marketing costs. I'm not entering into details (which from time to time were quite interesting and unknown to me), the "movie" itself only was a summary of fragments.
