Jimbo 0 #1 September 2, 2004 There's always been talk of a rebuttal of sorts to MM's Fahrenheit 9/11, here it is. This ought to be fun. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

crozby 0 #4 September 2, 2004 There is an ancient saying that basically says something along the lines of "immitation is flattery". Since moore's film came out, all the republican fuckwits could do is moan and winge about Mr. Moore, and now they are all excited about something which is a copy-cat piss-take of his film? For fuck's sake, have they no pride? Have they no originality? Have they no imagination? Err ... no, it would seem not.

turtlespeed 226 #6 September 2, 2004 It appears they are going to actually try to tell the truth of what MM did - more than he can say for himself.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
PhillyKev 0 #7 September 2, 2004 Well, personally, I'm looking forward to seeing it. MM is a twit. And disingenuous film maker, as Arnold called him, seems to fit perfectly. Just because I agree with someone's positions doesn't mean I agree with their actions. But I did think his movie was interesting and unique in the way it used blatant propaganda and made a big deal out of people not answering slanted-rhetorical questions. If I were on the other side of the fence I'd probably feel the same way about someone supporting Bush using the same kind of slanted, one-sided, sound bite filled, propaganda. Know anyone like that, Vinny?

Jib 0 #9 September 2, 2004 I'm more likely to buy a DVD then go to see a movie. Usually, you have to go to the theater unless you want to wait and you can't loan it to your friends. quade 4 #10 September 2, 2004 My point is . . . it won't get as much exposure and not as many people are going to actually see it. Movies that go theatrical, DVD, cable get viewed by a large audience. Movies that goes direct to DVD come in two varieties; those designed specifically for children and those designed for a very narrow market.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Jib 0 #12 September 2, 2004 Do you think if they released the latest star wars episode directly to DVD that a significantly smaller audience would see it? & that movie would benefit from the sound system etc in the theater. Movies that go to the theater go there to make the most money. If it's not a good movie, no one goes to see it and they don't make money. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. I think that if a movie doesn't pencil out to make enough money via theatrical release -- it -may- go direct to video. Take "Cutaway" for example. It -was- originally designed as a theatrical release, but the company that owned it, USA Networks, decided it wouldn't make enough money to cover the marketing costs. They then ran it on cable (which made them almost nothing) and then released it on DVD to recoup some of their costs.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

I have a couple other titles in which I could recommend you invest. Going into withdrawl due to lack of Steven Seagal Demolition Derby Flick? I can fix that... I figure it will get about as much notice as the Outfoxed DVD did - that is, supporters will buy it and no one else will. What amazed me about F9/11 is how many non-Bush-supporters went to see it; I think that's why there was such a stink about it. It really bothered some people. lawrocket 3 #22 September 2, 2004 Actually, it would have been interesting if the guy would have marketed in MM's style. As much as I don't like MM, I gotta give the guy credit for his genius (yes, I said genius) marketing ability. My wife is hotter than your wife. Sinkster 0 #24 September 4, 2004 Looks good. Too bad no one in the EU will see it even though moore's "documentary" is playing at every movie house there. Not that it would matter. Seems like they want to believe Moore for whatever reason.

I'm not entering into details (which from time to time were quite interesting and unknown to me), the "movie" itself only was a summary of fragments. In my (our) eyes, wasted time and wasted money and unbelievable, that it was price-winner over here Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105
