CanuckInUSA 0 #1 September 1, 2004 I'm tired of politics ... During the 2nd intermission of the Canada/USA World Cup Hockey game I caught something while channel surfing on ESPN about Pete Rose. I'm beginning to think that Pete will be a lock for the Baseball Hall of Fame. But only after he's dead. They (the establishment) won't let him have it while he's still alive. What do you think? skydyvr 0 #2 September 1, 2004 I think Schwarzenegger is doing an excellent job setting himself up for a presidential run after Bush retires in '08. You? . . =(_8^(1)
CanuckInUSA 0 #3 September 1, 2004 I thought the Pres had to be ... (Bruce Springstein where are you?) Born in the USA? Besides ... this is supposed to be a non-politcal thread. Come on ... let's give Pete some respect here. Oh and did I forget to mention that Canada did beat the USA tonight 2-1. crutch 0 #5 September 1, 2004 If he would ever just own up to the fact he bet on baseball, sincerly, not just to get into the Hall of Fame. I am all for him being voted in, but he just won't admit it.blue skies, art

Do you think they will ammend the constitution ...or just abolish it all together? Michael
pajarito 0 #7 September 1, 2004 I've got a page and a half of Pete Rose baseball cards from the 70's and 80's. I think he'll get in in his lifetime.
skydiver30960 0 #8 September 2, 2004 He'll never get it. Two issues: 1. The aforementioned STILL not admitting to betting on B-ball. 2. Pro Wrestling? PRO WRESTLING? Did anyone else see that? That was the torpedo amidships, without a doubt. Elvisio "never bet on baseball, been known to play the pass line with maximum odds" rodriguez
