quade 4 #1 August 31, 2004 Ok, so last night they were doing the roll call and I'll admit I tuned out at some point to go grab a snack and thought I just missed it, but I guess what they did was just kinda stop in the middle because -tonight- their doing more roll call! Interesting. Tune in if you can 'cause like I said yesterday, it's always a part that I find entertaining. Edited to add . . . What's particularly entertaining tonight is C-Span which is running a graphic at this time that says GWB has 1438 votes so far and others have 0 -- they also note that only 1255 are needed to win the nomination. Yet, they continue the roll call. Pretty funny 'cause I remember a time when the presumtive candidate's final votes were about to be cast, everyone would "pass" until his home state would come around and then that would be a balloon moment.
