Guest #1 August 31, 2004 If you've seen any of my posts over the past three years, you've seen that I refuse to vote because in the end, it doesn't matter who the president is - the special interests and the Mandarins will continue to pull the levers. Yet, I was trying to think of a way to assuage my guilt over my deliberate refusal to use the franchise. I've come up with a solution... ...I'll go to the booth, and I will write in the name "John McCain". mh .

Of course, you run the risk that if enough people also do that, then your vote won't be wasted but you'll still gain with the breaking of the "big 2 parties" assumed monopoly. You'll also gain with an ability to be more independent in your life for the next 4 yearsMike. Taking the piss out of the FrenchAmericans since before it was fashionable. So, you're saying that if Gore had been elected in 2000, we would've recieved federal tax cuts the last couple of years anyway? Do you think those cuts have had any effect on the economy, good or bad? I say it does matter . . . at least a little. . . =(_8^(1)

Of course, it's not like Bush showed much restraint in new spending either.
