What does it mean to win the "War on Terror"?

No, but we might if you decided to invade your neighbors over oil.

We wouldn´t invade over oil, only the U.S can do it.
Oh, Irak did it too to Kuwait. Uhmm, i wonder if that is what upsets Bush so much, that he only have the prerogative to kill for oil.

As far as the screw our behinds? I doubt it. There might not be pride or honor in your part of the world, but there damned sure is over here.

LMAO.
1.- you give Israel 2 Billion dollars at year.
2.- You give political support no matter what opossing most other countries.
3.- Israel spies on you, the spy gets catched red handed
go back to number 1

another example.
1.- a group of terrorist kill 3000 citizens and make your homeland security laughable
2.- You discover that most of the terrorist are saudies.
3.- you attack afganistan
4.- you attack Irak
5.- You keep buying oil and doing bussiness with Arab Saudi.

actions speak louder than words.

You sound like a wonk from the liberal media press here. We went in to Kuwait to get Iraq out and to protect Saudi Arabia (because they asked us to.) The free flow of oil at market prices drives the world economy... but if we were invaders, why didn't we just take the oil ourselves instead of continuing to purchase it at market prices?

Yep, it's blood money to keep them from killing the Palestinians...it's the only thing keeping that part of the world from braking out in to all out war (which Israel would win handily.)

Specifics?

John Pollard is still in jail. The next issue is something we are looking in to. My response is still the same.

Not any more. We are a free country and got caught because of our freedom.

2.- You discover that most of the terrorist are saudies.

Yep, but they the trail went back to Osama in Afghanistan

Quote

3.- you attack afganistan

Yep, crushed Al Quaida and the Taliban (for supporting them.

Quote

4.- you attack Irak

Yep, and liberated another nation, who in fact had ignored 14 UN resolutions (which Spain supported mind you.) No one should have voted for them if they weren't willing to take action to enforce them. We did, get over it.

Yes we do. So what? We are the largest user of oil in the world. It's what drives our economy.

Yep, our actions do speak louder than our words. When piss-assed countries like yours get threatened or attacked, or experience some natural disaster, where does most of the financial and humanitarian support come from? How much do we help Spain every year? I'd be more than happy to cut your and other ungrateful countries off, but that would have repercussions to that part of the world that go against our national strategy.

Militarily, no doubt about it. But they have tried to do so (not always full out though) for decades, and are still at the same point. Winning militarily is the easy part. That won't stop suicide bombers from blowing themselves up in supermarkets.

Not really, those resolutions mostly condem and deploy, or minor calls to have Israel do the same. They are nothing like the 14 action oriented resolutions against Iraq. However, good point about resolutions.

Yeah, I just get a little pissed when someone from overseas is obviously harping the liberal media without thinking it though. I do like the exchange of info. I learn a lot.

Dude, if there wasn't the cross Atlantic bashing, we'd be bored, would ignore the Speakers' Corner, and would be sentenced to spend our days doing boring things, like uh...skydiving?

So now, the U.S helps Spain... Do you have any figures? As far as i know it is the EU who does most if not all the helping to its members...

And now all this funding is part of your national strategy... But before it was because you were so good... And now it is strategy. FLIP-FLOP.
Now it is to liberate Irak, now it is the WMD, now it is al Qaueda... :S

Dude, thank you for proving my point, but i don´t need your help. :P

Yes I do. Try this and search on Spain. That is only the economic development $...there is more. Wow, look at that, we gave more than $2B to Spain in 2003. I wonder if you can find out how much your precious EU gave you guys for economic development last year? As a matter of fact, we give to all the countries in the EU for economic development. Imagine that...the mighty EU needs subsidies from the evil US. :D

No, funding Israel is (which is what I said.) We went in to Iraq to quell the posibility of terrorism (Al Quaida...and destroyed 3 of their training camps), and to enforce the 14 resolutions that Iraq ignored (many of which Spain supported.) The WMD argument is a media invention. Bush never stated the reason we were going was because Iraq had WMDs, even though the media goes in to a frenzy about it.

You've done little to prove your point except to rant a left-wing US media approach to an argument, and you misrepresent what I say rather than deal with the substance of it. It's effective for many people who wear out in an argument easily...but since I'm recovering from surgery, this is a good way to kill time. :P The facts (which you don't link to) don't exist. If so, feel free to link to them if you care to. I'd be happy to learn something through all this.

Would you help me out there before I proceed reading your complete post? My problem:

Already at watching a.m. chart, I had to stop and started pondering over the "more than $2B to Spain" given by the US....:S Where is shown that US "gave" that amount to Spain in 2003 ???

What is the "War on Terror".

With 9/11, Afghanistan, Dharfur, and the Russian incidents, is this really a War on Terror with the forces of peace on one side and the forces of terror on the other?

Or is this in fact a "Holy War" between Islam on one side and Infidels (non Islam) on the other?

"Who" has struck at us, and continues to strike at us?

What do the victims of this War on Terror have in common. What do the perpetrators of these terror attacks have in common?

WHO IS THE ENEMY?

This "enemy" has defined their rules of engagement in this war. They WILL deliberately target the innocent. They will deliberately attack the relatively defenceless.

Will the "first world", Christians, Jews, Atheists and Agnostics adopt the same tactics against Islam?

IS this war about Terror, or is it about religious hatred?
