akarunway 1 #1 August 30, 2004 THE MEDIA and the war in Iraq. I have been playing online chess w/ a 22 yr. old Marine being deployed to Iraq in Jan. He says the media has gotten a bud of his hurt and that they are being issued OLD army gear and kids are running around w/ AK's. He asked me what does he do. Shoot the kids. I gave my answer but I'd like some other thought on this. P.S. My response came from a military upbringingI hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. I want each and every one of our guys (Men and Women) to watch their SIX and come back safe. Patrick P.S. akarunway 1 #3 August 30, 2004 I told him try to take the weapon away if possible. If any threat shoot to kill in a heartbeat regardlessa of age. My old man told me he had to bomb Red Cross buildings and churches in Nam. Just like the mosques(sp?). Them bastards hide behind any thing they can. War is Hell. Colateral damage unfortunatly goes along w/ it My 2 cents. I AM NOT AN INSTRUCTORI hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
