billvon 3,111 #1 August 25, 2004 So any presidential campaign needs some good T-shirts. I can get them printed, but I need a) a slogan, b) a design and c) a place that prints shirts. So who has some ideas for a slogan? How about: "We need another skydiver in the White House" "The law of gravity is enough" (maybe too obscure) Also, any graphics designers out there? If I can get a good design, I'll have them printed and I'll give em away for free.

miked10270 0 #12 August 26, 2004 Not so sure about a "T" slogan yet... But a poster campaign on the other hand... [pic of mike doing a tandem or exiting a plane- clear shot of face] "Vote real." [pic os swiftboat] [pic of F-18 carrier landing] "Not hype" Vote Mike Badnarik. A doer, not a talker On a similar vein... [pic of Kerry face over swift boat - faded in / Kerry at Congressional hearings] beside ["that" pic of Bush walking away from the F-18] "Some people talk the talk" [pic of Mike picking his chute up after landing - plane in background / skydiver landing] "Some people walk the walk" President Badnarik. Actions, not words" And loads more along the lines of "Should your president talk or do?" "How honest should your president be about what he's done?" Etc... Posters & flyers can be racked off cheaper, faster and more widespread than "T"s. Plus, When he wins, remember that this forum shows that I have intellectual copyright on the slogan "President Badnarik jumped me!" Mike. miked10270 0 #13 August 26, 2004 Further thought... [Pic of tandem exit - bush's face as tandem master, tandem passenger's face very blurred] "Would you trust (Bush / This man) with your life?" [same pic - now Kerry's face] "Would you trust (Ketty / This man) with your life?" [same pic - Mike Badnarik] "3,000people trusted Mike Badnarik with their life - and all of them were right "Vote Badnarik. The president this great nation deserves." Mike. . Bodyflight.Net 0 #15 August 26, 2004 I've put in an email to a friend for the DZ... let's see what happens, they got a good load of planes too... and we need EVERYONE to get everyone ELSE excited about it! I love the slogans, keep them coming, I've started designing already.. full credit to the idea people of course I like the tandem shots especially... Bush then Kerry then... trusting Michael etc... only wouldn't specify only 3,000.. just "thousands" sounds like more.
Bodyflight.Net 0 #16 August 26, 2004 Is it possible to FIND some of those tandem students... and what about any of his 'students' etc... any of them still in the industry somewhere? Anyone have any pictures of him in the sky? Videos? I saw a couple of logbook entries somewhere else.. (note to self, go find logbook entries).. Bring on the info.. Freefall for Freedom oh, and billvon.. you ROCK! Let's see if we can DO this!!!!
miked10270 0 #17 August 26, 2004 Hmmm... At the risk of pi$$ing off the bible belt... [pic of Bush - A4 Skyhawks flying in background] "My family is my shepherd, I shall not war. They teach me to lie... In plentiful pastures." [pic of Kerry over Swiftboat] "I lead men in still waters only, I bestow myself medals, and later speak of righteousness for my own sake". [pic of Badnarik jumping] Yea though I fly into the shadow of the valley of death, I fear naught. My skill and intelligence comfort me." Mike. miked10270 0 #18 August 26, 2004 Hi Bill, (WHY do I have to hit my creative peak at 5.00am??) OK. The "t" shirt: Front: [pic of Mike Badnarik landing a tandem or graphic of tandem under canopy- clear face nice but NOT essential. - The "passenger" is The Statue of Liberty or similar national icon] "Put our great nation in safe hands." Back: "President Mike Badnarik." [Graphic of US flag] "Libertarian." (hopefully that should tease folk into talking to the wearer) Regards, Mike. . But I was just wondering where this statistic came from.. I went and read a quote from Mike B. that said he was a Jumpmaster, Tandem master, and AFFI.. I did not see any information about jump stats... Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

skybytch 273 #24 August 26, 2004 The last time I saw/talked to him was May of '96, when I packed him a tandem cutaway (I still say it was caused more by underloading a 500 sq ft main than by my pack job, but whatever, I'll still vote for him ). IIRC at that point he had around 2000 jumps, had the tandem rating and around 500 tandem jumps but hadn't gotten the AFF rating yet. My memory could be way off though. TEB6363 0 #25 August 26, 2004 Lisa, I thought that was when you packed me the function at Paso You were my first you know.. Any way. I was just wondering because when Mike was jumping at Madera (back in the days when Josh G. was running for a USPA BOD slot) Mike had just passed 1,000 jumps. This was sometime around 1995 or 1996.. He had organized a "1,000 th jump" party and even got an Otter to show up at Madera.. Beer, BBQ and so on.. However, within a couple of years after that he moved to Texas and his jumping dropped way off.. Knee surgery, he had a stint put in an artery, and just time with the new job... Now, I don't really care how many jumps he has and it sure does not make him any more passionate about his quest to support the constitutionIt's more of a question about how the information about people we know/knew is used.... After all, like Mike said, the Democrats would love to use the wrong number against him J/K... Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!
