CrazyIvan 0 #1 August 23, 2004 Did you hear about the new tattoo that McGreevey got above his ass? It says E Z Pass. They just changed the state bird. To the Swallow New Jersey just raised the terror alert to lavender. We know he didn't like Bush, but this is ridiculous. What do McGreevey and the Israeli navy have in common? Jewish semen The New Jersey DMV now to call rear-end accidents "A McGreevey" Now we know why McGreevey enjoyed "polling" so much..... NY Post Headline - "McGreevey Goes Down" They changed all the signs on the New Jersey Turnpike to read "Now Entering Wayne" This gives new meaning to "stuffing the ballot box" The New Jersey Turnpike has been renamed the Hershey Highway.__________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. PhillyKev 0 #4 August 23, 2004 Funny true story about McGreevy. One of the first things he did as governor to fulfill a campaign promise was to make the DMV a more pleasant place to visit. Part of what he included in that "make over" was to have drapes installed.

For what it's worth, I think it's pretty cool that you're, like, "Yeah, I'm gay, whatever." I don't think it oughta be anything people have to hide. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... jdfreefly 1 #8 August 23, 2004 It is one thing when people try to inject it into a conversation... But when Keith mentions his "homo manual" in a thread about McGreevey, I think it is quite relevant. Methane Freefly - got stink?

It's just that since the current reality is that many people feel they need to conceal their homosexuality, I think it's kind of refreshing that some people are just matter-of-fact about it, unwilling to have it treated as a stigma. It's kind of like when Steve Martin made fun of his own nose in Roxanne. If you take what others would make fun of you about, and put it right out in the open, it's gone from their arsenal. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Keith 0 #13 August 24, 2004 This isn't directed at you skydyvr. People's heterosexuality comes up in conversation every day. You talk about your girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives, the chick you banged the other night, it's all over TV, on billboards, in magazines, and so on. If my sexuality comes up in conversation and others become uncomfortable, that's fine with me. I absolutely refuse to pretend to be someone I'm not just because who I am makes some people uncomfortable. I would be perpetuating the fallacy there is something wrong with me, and there isn't. Anybody who tries to tell me different can kiss my ass. I'm waaaay too old to fall for other peoples attempts at manipulation.Keith Don't Fuck with me Keith - J. In your personal life, you shouldn't have to hide a thing, or even here, with your dz com family. That's not what I was getting at. But lately, I've seen this weird commercial where a guy sits fretting in his office over whether or not to go to the boss and reveal his gayness. This got me thinking, why? So the guy thinks a while, then gets up and heads for the boss's office, hoping the boss will understand and not fire him. We never find out how the boss reacted. Have you seen this commercial? What's up with all that? . . =(_8^(1)

Keith 0 #16 August 25, 2004 Nope, haven't seen it. Sounds kinda like a PSA to me? Why have such a commercial? To get people thinking. First let me say, I didn't intend to hijack this thread. I liked the intended levity. That being said . . . I believe most people are caring individuals. I believe, perhaps naively, that if most people understood the kind of crap gays and lesbians (we'll keep this to gays and lesbians since that was the subject of the commercial although the same pertains to other orientations as well) go through, they would re-think their view point.Keith Don't Fuck with me Keith - J.
