Botellines 0 #26 August 24, 2004 QuoteUse of fear...Uh we are at war. I guess Lincon is like Hitler also? Sorry, i didn´t make myself clear. I mean the use of fear with his citizens. When was the last time you had a warning about a terorrist attack without knowing when, where, how, etc, etc. QuoteExpansionist foreign policies...Like half of the Presendents. Not really, not many presidents started a war and put "friendly" governments in 2 countries and aiming for a third one in only 3 years. QuoteProve GWB hates any religion...I'd like to see quotes. Do you remember how he use to called the war at the begining? and don´t you remember how Bush referred to the war as a crusade?

Botellines 0 #28 August 24, 2004 True, now we would have to talk about wether that fear is justified or serve political purposes. A warning without specifing where, when or how doesn´t do any good to the population, just tell them to be afraid and increases the level of paranoia as well as the anger against terrorist. Good for Bush´s agenda.
TomAiello 26 #29 August 24, 2004 On the other hand, a warning giving the specifics of your knowledge is probably a good way to blow your efforts at gaining intelligence.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
Botellines 0 #30 August 25, 2004 Well, of course if they had more info, or if the threat was real, only the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc, should be aware of the specific details to gather as much info as possible. However, what good does it make to announce the whole country the proximity in time of a terrorist attack without specifying anything? I am talking specificly of the population. Besides, the warning levels has been raised way too many times without any terrorist attack going (thanks god) or any detention made. Ísn´t it starting to look suspicious?
