Muenkel 0 #1 August 17, 2004 It appears John Kerry is holding a slight lead over GWB. Some of the polls have it in the margin of error. However, Kerry is leading in the all important battleground states. It should be interesting if GWB gets a bounce from his convention. Also a lot can happen between now and Nov. 2nd. But be prepared for the strong possibility of Kerry winning. _________________________________________ Chris

Muenkel 0 #6 August 17, 2004 True, true!On a side note, Scott Rasmussen did say to not pay any attention to the polls this early. He feels strongly that our next president will have a comfortable lead in mid September. Hillary must be a nervous wreck right now. _________________________________________ Chris
crwtom 0 #7 August 17, 2004 Quote It should be interesting if GWB gets a bounce from his convention. Also a lot can happen between now and Nov. 2nd.. Bounces from conventions in other elections are mostly a consequence of low numbers of Americans following elections. A convention makes people pay attention and being receptive/undecided yields a favorable return. This year is quite different. A LOT of people are paying attention, heard all of the arguments and many have already made up their minds. A convention doesn't add very much - though with a race that close even a little may be important. There wasn't much of a bounce at the DNC and I'll bet there won't be any at the RNC either. ******************************************************************* Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation will cause your worst fears to come true
TheAnvil 0 #8 August 17, 2004 I'll have several bottles of pepto and many bags available to retch in should the forces of socialism, communism, racial discrimination, and murder of the unborn score a Presidential victory in November. And tissues to weep for my county. Hopefully they won't be needed. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! jdhill 0 #10 August 17, 2004 Right now, you can make the polling data look a lot of different ways... depending on what criteria you use... registered or likely voters, Nader or no Nader, yada, yada, yada... The electoral college polls (the only one that maters in the end) can bounce from Kerry having an advantage, to GWB having one, depending on what methods are used... I think it will be down to the wire this year. JAll that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke

billvon 3,131 #12 August 17, 2004 > I'll have several bottles of pepto . . . Make sure to buy up lots of W ketchup too, since no doubt that Teresa chick will ban it and require everyone to buy Heinz. Also should buy up lots of american flags, since Kerry will no doubt burn all of them his first day in office.
