Why would they pic such a non flattering picture of her to use?

Out of all of the footage they shot - why one that is like this as opposed to the smiling faces she actually had during the interview?

I found it odd that O'Reiley could give her an idea . . . but she is right. It has alot to do with media bias and how they put their political messages into How they tell the story. If it were news, the facts, and nothing else it would be different.

yeah Quade I watched the entire interview on the O'reilly factor. All I have to say is what a crock for CNN to try to put a negative spin on it. Considering how nice and freindly was unlike Ms. Heinz/Kerry/Shove it. She had plenty of opportunity to lash out at the liberal left but like a lady she kept her composure. And after all that the Communist News Network still find a way to spin it.

See's a fine looking woman, but not every photo is going to look great.

It's an AP photo and it's current. They aren't going to use her prom photo. I'm almost certain there was no ill intention and they just grabbed the first photo of her in the daily file.

Technically (artistically), for the page layout, they should have found a photo of her looking from right to left (inward toward the article), so, if they didn't bother with that, I'd assume they were just grabbing the first shot they found.

CNN has a history of running "file footage" when they don't bother to get a real picture.

They ran the same picture of Hilllary for four or five different 'tragedies,' because they wanted her to look sad.

your giving the design team more credit than they have permissions for... CNN articles are laid out in a template fashion, the 'graphic designer' hasnt seen the layout of any given article before it went 'to press' for the last several years...in may ways the internet has resulted in less use of the principled of good design and layout and more in favor of quick to public templates...

And I think that speaks directly to my point that if they aren't worried about the page layout, they're just grabbing the first shots they get for 99% of the stuff they do.

No ill intent, just them trying to get stuff done as quickly as feasible.
